Franklin vs Belfort

Who you got and how?

I'm calling Rich by UD. He's footwork will be enough to frustrate Vitor's straight forward attack. Franklin picks his shots and works that leg and body kick in ala Jardine-Liddell & Griffin-Rampage.

If Belfort wins it'll be by TKO/KO

But I think Rich might even come outta this fight with a TKO win. I think it'd be very possible for him in this fight...if he frustrates Belfort to the level that I think he will, Franklin will catch Belfort off guard and catch him making a mistake and BOOM! It can and might be over that quick.

It's likely either a KO early from Vitor or a lopsided decision for Franklin.

The story of this fight will be if Vitor can finally overcome the hump and fight competitively after the first half of the first round. He's got some serious karate skills added to his game now, so maybe he's developed the patience and mentality to fight strong throughout the entire battle.

Belfort by TKO/KO

Franklin, just Jedi mind tricks Belfort. Vitor has what it takes to be great physically, he doesn't have it in the head.

Bottom line, if Franklin is still alive and well at the start of the second round, Belfort has absolutely no chance.

Like I said, first round Belfort KO or lopsided Franklin UD. And the odds are stacked against Vitor here here. While Franklin lost to Anderson Silva ugly and early, Vitor Belfort is no Anderson Silva and his 90 seconds worth of head-down run-forward lighting-fist isn't going to fell a crafty and smart striker like Franklin.

Anyway here was the only real post of value.


But I'd like to see Vitor finally break the cycle and not fold under pressure.

I like Vitor maybe lol. Actually this is a very tough fight to pick.

I would like to see Vitor get it going again, but Rich is no slouch. Again, I think this can be a very exciting fight for fans.

I find it amazing only respectable MMA journalists are breaking this fight down like I am. Usually the herd at the very least replicates those opinions.
