| WTF!!!! How did they drop the ball on this one? He's had three potential opponents already discussed and he fights non? Miguel's decline will be because he and his promoter can't make enough fights. He could really gain a number one ranking in that division and cement his legacy is he is more active. | |

| I am starting to get annoyed with Cotto, I'd rather he retired than wasted my time. |

He didn't get cut or roughed up in his last fight he should be fighting on an October date or on the pac Margo undercard or PPV Co Feature first (So as not to hurt his pride). I'm with you on him retiring if he doesn't get busy soon.

What do you work as ? Operations Engineer at NBC. I basically operate the machines that send the television signal out to satellites and make sure the signal is properly received by the viewers. Professional TV Watcher. I am currently assigned to boxing on Telemundo (NBC owns Telemundo) which we air about once a month.

| I want to see him fight but he's at the end of his career. I was for him retiring by the age of 30 like he said. He hasnt got much left. | |

Straight up he's the only fighter you have compassion for. He needs to give it up if he's not going to fight regularly. Part time fighters retire with tarnished legacys.

Like David Haye. Fair point, however Miguel is meant to be a warrior not some bravado trash talker who accepts easy paydays. I respect Cotto alot, but it's frustrating when he's not interested in two great match ups for fans. |

| Miguel had shoulder surgery a month or so back right? I was doubting him fighting anyways
One cash out fight and be done with it
Sounds like Chavez Jr-Wolak will be setting this up for next

| Miguel was willing to face Chavez in December so I don't see why he couldn't face Cintron on the same date. |

| Well he probably took Stuwarts advice and chose not to fight Cintron. That was a bad match up for him and I know Stuwart knew then same thing. Cotto listened, its not like hes an elite at 154. Guys like Kirkland and Angulo would crush him at this point.
Cotto is at the stage of his career where hes going to try to cash out. Hes going to have Chavez Jr by next year and maybe the winner of Margarito-Pacquaio. If he doesnt get Pac, I still believe he'll end up having a showdown with Margarito again (win or lose).

Cotto comes back from adversity and Cintron simply quits or crys when the going gets rough. I also think Cotto could outbox Angulo who was beaten in his first test. Who knows about kirkland he's been locked up. Cotto isn't a plodding lead foot.

| Thats a shame. You can never have too many Cotto fights so its disappointing that he won't be fighting again this year. If theres any fighter since Oscar and Hatton moved on that I'd call myself a fan of its Cotto. Guy is never in a bad fight and is as classy as they come. | |

| How many fighters have faced more ring ranked fighters in the past 5 years??
I'd guess it isn't many. Give the man a pass. He's earned it.
