| After enjoying an incredible fight career and rising to the very top of women's kickboxing, Germaine de Randamie has now changed her focus to the world of MMA. In 2008 she lost her sole MMA fight by submission and learned that her ground skills were nowhere near where they needed to be. Germaine is now however, committed to becoming as good on the ground as she is on her feet. The "IronLady" was an incredible 45-0 in her professional kickboxing career. She now trains her Jiu-jitsu with world renowned instructor, Cesar Gracie. The dividends paid off quickly with Germaine winning her bout this weekend in dominating fashion at the Playboy Mansion show. "I think this was in reality her first fight as a mixed martial artist and not just as a kickboxer. She is a tremendous talent that picks up the ground game quite naturally. I think after a few more fights she could be the only true viable fighter out there to challenge Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos." -Cesar Germaine is set to move from Holland to the U.S. where she will be dedicating herself to rising to the top of women's MMA. Under the direction of U.S. Muay Thai coach, Kirian Fitzgibbons, and Jiu-jitsu instructor, Cesar Gracie, we could be seeing some big things from the "Ironlady". http://www.graciefighter.com/?page=news&PHPSESSID=86d3e46a489ece13b906c78d49ad7737 | |
