| Gilbert, but you should have added Canseco. He is an animal in the octagon. He ran like a gazelle against HMC. | |

| Sheilds considering he would beat Diaz at 170 or 185.
Sheilds Nick Gilbert Nate.

Why is that? The Diaz bros. have always been susceptible to getting taken down by good wrestlers and decisioned. Thats Jake's forte. Nick has an active guard, but its nothing Jake can't deal with.

This is my argument against Nick and top WWs like Fitch, Kos ect If I've seen anything from Sheilds lately, stylistically a fighter like Nick could beat him. Sheilds probably wouldn't sub Nick, so it'd be a HnP affair like against Mayhem. This fight is a wash in bjj, with a huge advantage striking for Diaz and a wrestling/HnP advantage for Sheilds. I'll concede that Sheilds could win a decision, but I'd say Nick has the better chance at finishing the fight.

| in terms of the Shields Nick debate, we see that the guys excell in 2 of the 3 major categories, Jake in Wrestling and JJ, Nick in JJ and striking, but for each that 3rd category is considered a weakness.
And that factored into my pick for gilbert, he doesn't have that exploitable weakness that the other two have, true he may not excell in any of the 3 the way the others do, but the other 2 can look often vulnerable in certain situations.

| I think Nick would rape Jake if they ever fought. But then again I see Jake as one of the most overrated fighters in MMA. | |
