http://www.mmamania.com/2011/1/20/1946026/cesar-gracie-greg-jackson-is-not-one-of-the-great-coaches-of-the-world "He's more of a coordinator where he puts things in perspective. And he's great at what he does. Training's at this time, let's go run the mountain or something. Let's go train with this guy. He's more of a motivational speaker possibly, but as a true sense of the word 'coach,' he's not on the same page as great coaches of the world. He's not. I've got nothing against Greg Jackson in particular. There's a lot of guys like that. I'm sure he's a great guy and everything. But the guys from [American Top Team] in Florida, it's like, you don't have Dan Lambert doing that. He doesn't get in the limelight and he's great, he does everything. He sets it all up, and he's done an incredible job. You never see him pretending he did something he didn't do. The great coaches are in the background."

What a clown. Gracie sounds jealous. I would much rather be involved in Jackson's Submission Fighting than Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu if I was a pro. Jackson is years ahead of Gracie in the coaching department.

IDK man, the great coaching stuff is wrong, but the "coordinator who puts thing in perspective" kind of makes sense.

What does Gracie do? Something different? If he actually believes the junk he says than he doesn't understand what a coach is.

Sounds like typical cocky Gracie BS. Caesar probably thinks he can tap Greg or something therefore making him superior in all ways, he isn't.
Coaches job is to best prepare their fighter to compete and win, being a good coordinator of time and practice is but one of the many roles a good coach plays in meeting that end.

That's def true, and he gave him credit for that, and that's where he's right, he's wrong in suggesting he isn't a good coach for reasons you stated.

You said it my man! A coaches job is to get his plays/fighters ready to compete and have a gameplan going in. That is what he always does and his winning percentage shows that.
