| Yes, he seems to be a likeable guy. Hopefully Ricky cleans up and has a long, fruitful life....and never boxes again. | |

Likeable has nothing to do with it. It's a lifestyle and he choose it. Now all he has to do is stay away from the limelight, boxing specifically...........

| Easy to see how he became so depressed. His loss to Pacquiao was really embarassing. | |

I can see how he see,s it that way, but that night, Pac would've stopped a lot of fighters in the opening stanza. Hatton was a gifted fighter, Manny's just a great, HOF fighter. Ricky needs to come to his senses and realize that he had an exceptional career and that nobody wins them all.

| Ricky was the man at 140. He made boatloads of money. He has a wife who is attractive (and damn well wouldn't be with him if he wasn't rich Ricky Hatton). If you made it to Ring Champ in a division and ended your career with only 2 losses (against the best 2 fighters of the time) then you have done amazingly well.
Ricky- stop eating, drinking, and snorting yourself into oblivion.

| http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=5568320Hatton goes to rehab.. he says the drugs are recent.. not sure if I believe that but he's obviously been drinking like a fish for quite some time (the article says he "drank 11 pints of Guinness along with glasses of vodka, wine and sambuca throughout the night"). | |

| Ricky's right in a free society should be to do what he wants. Why else do you fight for years if the ultimate end game isn't loads of coke in a hotel with strippers around you? | |

| Freedom isn't available when you've got devious papers around in Britain like The News Of The World and The Sun. |

| 20 years of training & dieting & fighting & putting your ass on the line. Getting to the summit only to be smacked off of it in front of millions. Sure, that's the chance you take, but it still hurts. Hatton's gonna be out of control until either his body or his mind can't handle it anymore. He's rich...famous...adored by his fans & countrymen. Doors will continue to open for him, good & bad on the other side. This is only the beginning. | |
