| The heavyweight champ is going to defend again in less than 3 months. Way to go Wlad !!! Could Adamek be convinced to scrap his smaller fight for a chance at the world title? http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=30901 | |

| LOL at Boytsov, that guy is TERRIBLE
I think Adamek waits until next year
Tua after the Barrett beat down, no way
Dimitrenko maybe? but he lost to Chambers, dont want to see that all
Valuev & Solis would be the better match ups

Its like Winky Wright vs BHOP. I know how much that appeals to a guy like you. LOL |

Some fights are better than others, but I am such a degenerate fan there are very, very, very few fights I have EVER found boring. There is nearly always some way to think about and watch a fight that makes it highly entertaining for me. I seriously think that fighters like Arturo Gatti dumb the sport down. Men should fight taking one to give one in only two sets of circumstances. When they are so badly behind they have no other choice or if they simply aren't good enough to fight any other way. But that kind of stuff is BAD boxing. It may be exciting like a car crash is exciting, but it is hardly representative of the highest achievements of the sport. Hit and don't get hit is the essence of boxing. Not you hit me then I'll hit you. Mini-rant over.

Mini-rant over. Now dont get me wrong I like watching Wlad. Its not Wlad that I think will make this fight a little boring its Valuev. Maybe Wlad can make it fun to watch I am not sure. But styles make fights. And this doesnt seem like it will be the best matchup I have seen in a while. I thought the Peter vs Wlad fight was fun because the styles of them two made it a fun fight. Who knows I am wrong every now and then LOL |

I mean can you imagine ANYBODY wanting to hug a sweating Nikolay Valuev?

| Valuev is having surgery and will not be able to fight in December. It will be one of the guys I listed above. First choice would be Adamek as he is the highest ranked contender available. | |

Thank you! Adamek has a heart as big as Poland and he is tougher than an overcooked steak. But he takes a bad beating is my guess.

why? Isn't he taking these keep busy fights bidding his time until a big fight comes along? The fights don't get any bigger than a shot at the champ.

| Because he had a tough fight w/Grant and already has Maddalone bout set up
Makes easy $ and gets some rounds in, then goes for the big payday vs Wlad

| he'll be 34 yrs old in December. If he takes a"stay busy" fight versus Vinny Madalone on a local show for 200 grand rather than a shot at the champ for 2 million on the world stage, then he has rocks in his head.
He should be ready to go with 3 and a half months between fights, unless the cut hasn't healed properly.

| Its already scheduled and was announced before they knew Wlad would fight again in 2010, his shot at Wlad is pretty locked down

| I think Wlad will also be taking a "stay busy" fight in December to get ready for Adamek in the spring. There is no shortage of bums to fight in that Division. Has anyone predicted any of Wlad's opponents recently? There are a myriad of shitty opponents out there for him to hammer on. Prediction Wlad shows up in shape ready to fight a KO's some can in Germany. Or maybe just maybe he fights Odlanier Solis. | |
