According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and matchmaker Brad Goodman, WBA interim super flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (24-1, 16 KOs) of the Philippines will possibly face former champion Wladimir Sidorenko (22-2-2, 7 KOs) of Ukraine on December 4 on the undercard to the planned doubleheader featuring Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28 KOs) making a defense of his WBA 154-pound title against either Kermit Cintron (32-3-1, 28 KOs) or Vanes Martirosyan (28-0, 17 KOs).
A deal for WBC silver middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30 KOs) to fight Pawel Wolak (27-1, 17 KOs) in the co-feature has been completed. Top Rank hope to match Cotto and Chavez, provided they win, in the spring.
Miguel Cotto will be sitting out 2010 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given who Nonito has been fighting this is a MAJOR improvement. But it begs the question.
Were Narvaez, Cazares, Nashiro and Rosas all busy??????

OK, so Moreno. Hawsaegawa, Mares, Agbeko and Cermeno are all busy?
I mean these are supposedly the prime years of a p4p ranked fighter and he's fighting a guy who has lost two of three and we all think this is a step up?
WTF is he DOING?????????????

Wasting away under Top Rank's stable. I've also got a gut feeling that having his girlfriend Rachel manage his career isn't helping.

Wasting away is right. But again, his own damned choice and his own damned fault. His life I guess. If he's happy with it? What do I matter

Hasegawa is still recovering from the Montiel beating and is moving up weight. Agbeko and Mares are tied up in the Banton Tourney. Shit But I agree with that selection of fighting Moreno. Thats a fight I'd love to see.
When fighters are put against softies, they become softies. I have a feeling this is what is happening to Donaire. Arum has been fucking up his career by protecting him.

And he's enjoying his celebrity Filipino status, like Chavez Jr, gets a lot love from his country for not accomplishing much in the ring
