| Roy Jones (54-7, 40 KOs), the former pound-for-pound king and four-division champion plans to continue his career in the wake of his one-sided loss to Bernard Hopkins in April. Although Jones, 41, has lost three of his last five fights, including two in a row -- to Hopkins and a first-round knockout to Danny Green -- he is in discussions to face Danny Santiago (31-4-1, 19 KOs) in a cruiserweight fight in October in Pensacola, Fla., Jones' hometown. John Wirt, CEO of Jones' Square Ring promotional company, told ESPN.com the fight with Santiago was possible "but Roy is also considering some other things, some other options. We'll know more in a few days." http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/notebook/_/id/5476945/tomasz-adamek-steps-land-giants |

| I'm convinced that Roy will fight until he's just about forced out of the sport. This is a man who wears his soul on his sleeve. Example. Roy walks into the ring to take on, Felix Trinidad. Jones has his game face on. Suddenly the crowd cheers. He hadn't heard this sound in quite some time. I'll never forget the way his eyes lit up at the sound of the crowd celebrating his entrance. It was both a very happy and sad moment. Roy deserved the cheers but it was easy to see he'd follow their sounds all the way to an early grave. | |

It's the story of life, once you're mature and smart enough to enjoy the luxuries of life your prime has left you. I can see Floyd Mayweather ending up like Roy, willing and eager to take on challenges and be nice to the media but too far past his prime to make a dent in the sport. |

| dougie fisher has said in his mailbag on maxboxing and now on ring that he fears that Floyd is going to pull a RJJ. It would be very sad to see both guys waste their primes and then try to take on great competition when it is too late. | |

Maybe Roy should have a heart to heart with Floyd. |

| Floyd is nothing like Roy to me. Go down the list of guys Floyd has on his resume and it is stacked. Roy had some very nice wins also but nothing like Floyd in my opion. | |

True but there is similarities with how they acted during the peak of their abilities. |
