Big Nog out of Mir fight - Crocop confirmed as replacement

15/08/10 - breaking: Nogueira out of Mir fight, UFC has "big name" replacement readyRodrigo Nogueira is out of his UFC 119 fight with Frank Mir after suffering an injury in training, a Brazilian source tells Fighters Only.

The nature of the injury was not disclosed but the source says it will require surgery. Nogueira is said to be “incredibly frustrated” by it and expects to be out until the New Year.

The fight with Mir was to headline UFC 119 and was a rematch of their meeting, which saw Nogueira stopped for the first time in his professional career.

Fighters Only has also been told the UFC has already secured a replacement and it will be “a really big name opponent”, although the source we spoke to did not provide a name.

I'm more interested in Nelson/CroCop vs Mir than I was a Nog rematch anyway. I'm thinking it has to be one of those 2 and I'm praying for Mirko

I just started a Crocop title run on Undisputed, my first opponent randomly turned out to be Mir, first round LHK win for me. Nice.

Well Wolf ur theory will partly be put to the test if it is Cro Cop. U said he would destroy Mir. Maybe we will find out. Im happy because I wasnt interested at all in a Mir vs Nog rematch.

Yeah I was worried the Nogs would pull some of that look-a-like shit in a fight where the ref is distracted and they switch up. You can't put two Nogs on one card.
