| Montiel turns down Bantamweight tournament over money Williams turns down Martinez rematch over money Angulo turns down Martinez fight over money Berto turns down Mosley fight over money
Today's society is obsessed with greed.
Montiel has the Donaire fight on the horizon. I can understand it, but I wish he and Donaire would be in a tourney.
PW is crazy as he's not going to get paid more than 50% to face Martinez. He shouldn't. 50/50 is a good offer. He wanted 60%. Ridiculous.
Angulo turning down over double his biggest previous payday is so stupid. He said he wanted $900,000. A little hint, el perro; they have no earthly reason to pay you more than 750,000. It definitely could be argued that $750,000 is too much.
Berto is an idiot as well. He is an HBO created monster. They pay him well to fight lesser guys so why take on Mosley when HBO is sure to pay you well to face a guy that you know you'll beat.

| There is a negotiation that can occur when one guys offers an amount that is too low. If Valuev was offered 400,000 to fight Vitali, then Valuev would rightfully ask for more money as the fight will generate alot of cash because of gate and tv license fees.
Vitali offered the max they would ever pay Valuev, 1.5 million. Valuev's dumb ass should have accepted that as there is no way they would pay him more for a fight.
A fighter and his team need to have an idea of their value. When someone offers as much as you are ever going to get, then you need to take it. Angulo was too dumb to know that no one was going to pay him more than 750,000. Valuev was way too dumb to turn down 1.5 million when no one in their right mind is ever going to pay him more than that.
