He was 1 razor thin dec. away from being right there in the mix for a title shot. At 25 you are selling this guy way short. You may not like him, but you can't look past him game and his potential. He is a future Champion, not just challenger.

He's never been close to a title shot, though. Shit he's 2-3 in his last five with losses to Guida and Stevenson...2 guys who will probably be gatekeepers for the rest of their careers as well. You can be a big fan but come on, the proof's in the pudding.

He won that Maynard fight, plenty of people who saw it would agree. He doesn't get screwed there, he is right in the mix. That is just a fact of life, love it or hate it doesn't change it.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. But even if he had beaten Maynard he wouldn't be in the title mix. He would still have two recent bad losses on his record.

Bad losses? Has he ever been finished(in UFC)? One could say he also beat Caveman but can't find any love on the cards. Even the Joe fight was a close fight. I get it, people love to find reasons to hate on these guys. But look at the fights. Never been finished in the UFC and ever loss was a close dec.
