Jr. Looked improved and if he continues to improve under Freddie he may be able to make some noise.

Basically first 3 rounds Chavez Jr. used jab, left hooks to body, and straight rights to keep Duddy at bay. Duddy turned it up around the 4th and Chavez Jr. abandoned the fight plan and it turned into both guys landing shots in close. Duddy had his moments (Chavez's legs buckled a bit in 1 round), but as the fight wore on Chavez Jr. began to beat him down. Around rounds 10 and 11 it looked like he would stop Duddy. Duddy gutted it out and made it to the final bell.

Was a good action fight.

Duddy is 31 and looks like his career is about over. Time to go for 1 more big payday and retire. Chavez still doesn't look like a guy who will ever be top guy at middleweight to me(but Roach certainly won't hurt in trying to make him as good as he can be). Arum will manage him well and try to convince people that he is.

Hey say what you will but Duddy looked like one tough SOB Saturday. Chavez really did look pretty good though. I have been a big critic of his but he kinda shut me up a little.
