Who wants to see Cung vs Smith 3?

I think it is stupid and it would be a waste of the fans time myself. Manhoef or bust Strikeforce!

As a Cung Le fan, you should be hoping he wants nothing to do with Manhoef unless you want to see him FUBARd

Le could beat Manhoef. His chin isn't great anymore and Le has all the tools to counter him. Coin flip.

Manhoef just has the nightmare factor going on.

Cung living off a trilogy vs. Smith would be sad.

He should step in with Melvin even though I think he gets KTFO

Yup. Cung would have to stay away for a few minutes and he would pick Melvin apart. I think he way faster than Melvin anyways. In the clinch Melvin would get tossed around. Cung is a better wrestler too. Melvin hits and kicks harder and that is it.

Possibly, but speed may go in favor of Manhoef. He is one of the few fighters that envokes Wanderlei Silva when he charges in looping hooks of death.

While Cung is skillful and has nice counters, I have difficulty envisioning a scenario for this fight that doesn't end with Le eventually folding under the power/aggression of Manhoef

Manhoef gets beaten in kickboxing regularly. Cung is one of the most skilled strikers in MMA history. If Cyborg could last, so could Le. I still question if Le would take this fight though, all that said.


To the topic ; Smith probably doesn't want a third fight.

Cyborg isn't afraid of a war though. Its not so much that I think Cung would be rendered unconscious early as much as he really doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that would take being hit by someone with Melvin's power. I could see him folding under the pressure not wanting to take punishment. This is just the feeling he gives off to me, maybe its wrong

I think he'd have to "run" at various points given that Manhoef would try to bullrush him but he is Machida-like in his countering and damage avoidance abilities.

I hate to say it but I do agree. Le needs to get his belt back. I can see a few guys giving him a problem with that.

Mayhem, Jacare and Kennedy would be huge favorites. He'd beat the fuck out of guys like Robbie Lawler though.

I think I would rather stick an icepick through my retina than watch this match a 3rd time. I would enjoy this fight a little better than Brock/Mir III if that helps.

Not me. I enjoyed the rematch a lot more than i expected but Smith is out of his league with Cung. Le should fight Lawler or Manhoef in the first round of that tourny or whatever.
