Josh Thomson is also fighting Pat Healy. Healy is undefeated at LW, has a long career as an undersized WW with wins over Carlos Condit, Paul Daley, Dan Hardy, Mike Guymon,Ryan Ford(x2), and his recent win on the Challengers series over 13-1 Bryan Travers. He's kind of got Akhiro Gono syndrome but should be a game fighter for JT.

Overall, this is one of Strikeforce's weaker cards outside of the main event IMO.

I would call Scott Smith a lot more than a journyman...he's not top shelf but 17-6 is pretty damn good...plus, he's been fighting under the Showtime banner for almost three years and would pretty much be hired by any promotion right now, a return to UFC included.

I just think it's unfair to associate Scott Smith with "journeyman" when he has had a far more stable career than most with performance and job security.

A journeyman is one who trades wins and losses and can't stay in an organization for any long periods of time because of this. Scott Smith has had multiple fights for every org he has fought for be it Showtime(SF/XC), UFC, WEC, Gladiator Challenge, IFC, PFC throughout a pretty long career.

Former WEC LHW champion too.

But if Vladimir Matyushenko is being called a journeyman I think the same can apply to Smith.

Ya I don't feel Matyushenko is a journeyman either actually. He is the best least exciting LHW of the era. He fought for the title once, beat Nog once, and has been a fixture in the UFC and MMA for years and hardly anyone knows him. Nevermind his run in 2003 was pretty good with wins over HWs Rizzo and Wuiff. 5-2 career mark in the UFC.

I hope he arm triangles Jones.
