These men specialized in one of the most dangerous punches in the sport. The infamous left hook. Please feel free to add your own picks to this list. 1. Jersey Joe Walcott: Whether it landed to the body or the head, it looked more like abuse then an actual punch. Knocked out Ezzard Charles with one swift left hook. 2. Joe Frazier: When Ali got up from Frazier’s left hook in their first fight, it may’ve been his greatest accomplishment in terms of taking a punch. Gave the impression that he could separate a man’s torso with the left. Jerry Quarry’s two fights with Frazier are proof that he has the heart of 10 Lion tribes. 3. Joe Louis: Anything he threw was a knockout punch. The left hook is a punch so he’s on this list. 4. Mike Tyson: The left uppercut into the left hook or vice versa puts him on this list. Makes a great highlight film with that punch alone. Too bad he’s an anti-social personality disorder. 5. Oscar De La Hoya: Threw the left hook with bad intentions and great results. The theme of Oscar’s fights changed when he caught a fighter flush with the punch. 6. Henry Cooper: Anything he caught with his left would go down, including a young Cassius Clay. Problem was, he bled quarts of blood if touched on the face.

I'll never forget that punch Ray through against Fullmer. I didn't even to look at it to know what you were talking about. Problem is, with Ray Robinson, he threw every punch great so it's hard to pick a specialty punch for him.

in the 50s several fighters specialized with a classical left hook..stylish and accurate not a swing from left field like frazier..robinsons hook of fullmer deminstrates a master hook and walcotts of charles was almost identicals..the nickname for that punch was the philedelphia left hook..charley scott and federico thompson both welters threw it with effective style..chavez to the body was first rate..look at marcianos ko of harry kid matthews 2 terrific left hooks done with speed and a classic combo.one a short hook that paralized the guy the other delivered with full extention..

Look, the guy couldn't fight but he had a great left hook. He knocked people out of the ring with that thing. I didn't say he was a special fighter. He wasn't. If you don't respect the Cooney left hook, just concentrate on the other fighters I listed. I'm also asking you guys to list fighters. Walcott was mentioned. That's a beautiful choice. List some hookers.

Those fighters were not ranked in any special order. I shouldve mentioned that.
