| I like it. It puts the winner back into the mix at title contender. | |

| I don't think Rampage should fight Lyoto right now. Rampage vs Lil Nog would be good. |

I like that too but I still say Couture vs Lil Nog after Couture beats Toney

| Farmer was thinking the same thing I was! It would give Randy one last chance to make a title run or Lil' Nog the opportunity to knock off a legend of the sport. | |

| Man Page really disappointed. At this point i have little to no faith in him beating Machida. | |

| Don't like that matchup for Page he would not be able to touch Machida, like the Lil Nog thing, cause they both have a lot to prove and their speed is much closer to each other, I can see them sitting down on some punches | |

| Rampage unless he is making a title bid or defense should in no way under any circumstances fight Lyoto fucking Machida. I'm not saying Rampage should try to duck Machida, I am saying he should duck the fucking shit out of Machida. Out of any of the elite LHW match up issues in the TUF-Pride era like Rampage vs Chutebox, Tito vs Chuck or Chuck vs Rampage, this is by far the worst match up for any fighter. Even if he came in the best shape of his life and matched his fastest day ever, Rampage would be embarrassed by a faster and more skilled fighter for the second fight in a row. His career would be left for dead. Rampage should fight someone like Nog or Forrest, someone he actually has a chance of hitting on the cheek. This fight is the effective end of Rampage. | |

| i have heard this as well, dont think it bodes well for rampage cause Lloyoto is gonna leg kick him to death, but hey maybe he can land a shot, ring rust is real and most of all it fucks up your timing, Tyson never got his timing back after the prison stint and Rampage definitily didnt look like his normal self | |

| Yo, like Rampage on his best day with a baseball bat still wouldn't be a significant underdog to Lyoto Machida. Rampage quite literally has a better chance to beat Lesnar than Machida. | |

| I agree this isn't a great match up for Page but some of y'all are overreacting. If we are going to consider Page a top LHW, then he needs to be able to adapt his close range KO only boxing to full MMA and fight all top contenders regardless of style. | |

| Will. Never. Happen. Page may be a top fighter, but the gap between Rampage and Evans, and then Shogun and Machida is much wider than people realize. | |

We thought the game between Machida and Shogun was huge a year ago. Now we know Shogun is better. I don't think there is a huge difference between 8 and 1 at 205 that division is so deep.

| Ya, but that is because we thought Shogun wasn't the same fighter he was in Pride and was physically unable to compete anymore. The situations are totally different. Rampage and Shogun's styles are totally different, and Shogun has shown he can continue to learn and adapt, where as Rampage seems to set further and further into his ways as a sprawl and boxer. | |

| agree with wolf that the gap between 2 and 3 at 205 is pretty big right now.
And yeah I would have said the same a year ago about Machida and Rua, but Rua was 27 yrs old, and was overcoming a lull, where as Page is solidly in his 30's and certainly seems to have topped out.

| Also, it never bodes well when you were a day late and a dollar short speed-wise in a fight with a guy who looked just as slow against the guy you're trying to fight.
Rampage will be mentally defeated by Lyoto 1 minute in, and will chase him around out of frustrating eating counters for three rounds, unless Machida turns up the aggression at some point and ends it sooner.

Fighting a guy with good power does add to the intrigue even if we consider him overmatched.

| Machida won't keep Page down or on the fence. I could see Page getting a win by KO. I would bet on Machida, but Rampage by KO isn't hard for me to believe. | |

| Don't like Page for this fight. Don't think he is aggresive enough in engaging to get to Machida, though if a good exchange or two pops up, all bets are off, just see Machida winning by being the better brain. | |

| Look how respected Rampage's power is in this thread. He has no answer for Machida at all skill for skill but he can never be counted out even in horrific mismatches like this because of nothing more than the punchers chance factor. I can't see why people are faulting Rashad for using a gameplan with a specific rule against trading blows with this guy. | |
