Things Too Look For Tonigiht If Your an MMA Fan

Look this is a great forum but mainly MMA, I get it. But here is a little list of things for the hardcore MMA fan and casual boxing fan to look for tongiht since 2 of the best not only in the world but of the past 20 years face off.

1. Floyd Mayweather's Elbows' - What? Floyds gonna ground and Pound him? NO . But in boxing a properly used elbow can set up extremely effective shots. No one does this better than FLOYD in boxing right know. Watch the left elbow extend, control Mosley's head and run it into a right hand. Its Floyds Bread and butter. Watch closely (elbows are illegal) and Floyds great at disguising them.

2. Shane Mosley Going BackWards - If this is happening, something is going wrong for Shane. Shane is from the Jack Mosley school of power boxing. Nazim Richardson cannot change that. Shane is a bouncy fighter who comes forward and wants to let his hands go. If he is going backwards Floyd has caught him (like the Cotto fight). Mayweather can fight going forward and backward, Mosley only forward. This is a BIGGIE

3. Shane Mosley Footsie - Shane likes to step on feet and fire punches (also a no-no) but hey if you can do it fast and accurate good for you. Watch for this.

4. Floyd and His Ropes - Floyd likes being on the ropes, however, lets see how he likes being on the ropes vs Mosley. That will be a key point in this fight IMO. If Floyd is avoiding the ropes after several rounds, we will know he didnt like it.

5. Shane's Blitzkrieg - I am almost positive Shane is going to come out in the first round smoking, or sugaring or whatever the hell you want to call it. Mayweather (a traditional slow starter) who takes the first round to feel people out will have to put up wiht an early onslaught from Mosley IMO. Lets see how he handles it.

There you guys have it, 5 things to watch for if your not a big time boxing fan. Also check out the footwork battle, cause this one will be fun, even though Floyd will win the footwork battle,

Great points to look at but i think u forgot a major 1. Floyds head movement. Generally Floyd is so hard to hit because of his speed and head movement and it will be interesting to see if Shane is like every1 says as fast as Floyd and finds away to land a good percentage against Floyds crafty defense.

Floyd is cute at getting away with those elbows and forearms

Floyd's jab should be a big factor tonight. Shane was out jabbed by Miguel Cotto back in 2007, and we all know Miguel can't hold a candle to Floyd's laser accurate jab.

great fight and man Floyd dominated it was great I was in a pro Mosley crowd (i love being the loud guy going against the crowd who is right) it was brilliant , made 200 tonight off of pretty racist looking folks

Well like I said in my point I thought the key would be if Shane could land a good percentage and he couldnt so there was the fight to me.

ya its amazing how nobody can land 100 on Floyd

Zab Juah landed around the high 20's connect percentage

Yeah he was probably landing like 50 percent through the 1st 3 rounds and then it just dropped. Floyd startsslow but finishes strong. He warms up and is very hard to hit.

Yeah funny how Shane was landing so much in the first couple rounds using his jab and getting off first but then when he puts his hands down and stood there feinting like a moron not letting his hands go he didn't land shit. Its because he had nothing. Dude looked fucking gassed in the 4th round

Good call. I watched the fight yesterday and noticed PBF elbowing and Shane going backwards at the start of round 3. Didn't read the rest, I am gonna watch a flick. You are prolly right on the rest too.
