Strikeforce is so horrible for giving Rogers a fight with Overeem, yet how many times was Randy Couture given shots fresh off losses. Strikeforce gives Mayhem an easier fight, it's such a crime, but Liddell and Couture were never fed Tiger or Van Arsdale were they?

Strikeforce doesn't have as many fighters as the UFC. Not every fight is going to be top ten or twenty fighters, and having any expectation of that reflects a complete and utter cognitive breakdown and a lapse in all logical reasoning skills.

Fighters can be created over night. Ask the UFC HW division. Daniel Cormier and Bobby Lashley are already each a fight or two away from being Cain Velesquez or Shane Carwin. Jon Jones and King Mo didn't exist a year ago. Now they're contenders.

Bird, Liddell being the most overrated striker in the sport's history who was hand picked grapplers and wrestlers for five years to protect him from actual strikers has nothing to do with the Law fighting some no name.

Yeah Chuck was facing all the tough fighters while Tito fought bums and complained about injuries.

Liddell was protected no more and no less than Tito. Liddell never faced a striker in his career that didn't knock him out or nearly knock him out.

Without other promotions to keep the UFC honest Mir and Brock would fight for the HW title every two months.

What? Why is that?

Without these other Orgs coming and going, all the best fighters would be under 1 unified Org and we'd really know who the best fighters are. We'd get more deeper cards

If all the best fighters were togther, Mir would be so far out of the title picture it'd be ridiculous

Without a context to take the UFC in, they would dictate match ups based on PPV personalities and not who is really the best in the world. We would have no way to know how good fighters really are.

Competition never hurts anyone(besides those the UFC crushes)

Overall sf does a very good job, I don't argue this. and I don't have a major problem with the current top of their heavy weight division, they are all good fights. It's a bad title situation, but the fights are good.

Nor do I share LA's concern regarding future matchups, the have prospects on the roster(gracie, Abongo, and Cavalcante at 205 4 instance) and they continue to bring in big names.


But Mayhem-stout is rediculous.

As was Walker-Nagy and Lashley-Sims. Not bad matchups. Awful matchups.

I don't think Lindland vs Casey on a challenger card falls into the awful category. I actually find it somewhat interesting.
