| Was Vitor Belfort the real winner of Maia vs Silva? People seem to be screaming for Vitor after this fight. Before this fight there were some talks about how he didn't earn his shot yet, hasn't fought at MW in the UFC. But now people just seem to want to see Anderson get punched in the face and Vitor is the best cannidate for that. | |

| vitor has 5 wins in a row right now, albeit only 2 are at mw, but he couldnt have won those in more dominating fashion. he destroyed franklin without taking any dam. in that fight. im more then ok with him getting the next shot, hes looked a beast at MW | |

| I don't think Vitor gained a whole bunch. I guess more people may root for him, but I don't think that fight made anyone think that spider is any more vulnerable now then prior to it. | |

| Vitor isn't the big winner unless Dana awards him with the next fight. If that happens, the fans will be the real big winner since most would rather see him have the opportunity to land that big punch than they would Sonnen trying to lay on Anderson... | |

I believe when you are in your hotel room an hour after the fight they call it a nap.

| agree, just saying if people want to complain about Vitor being fast tracked, Maia had no business in the cage with Anderson | |

| I want to see vitor fight anderson. But I'd also like to see Gsp fight him at 170. I also wouldn't mind seeing Sonnen fight him. Or Machida, or Shogun, or Carwin, or Lesnar. I just really want him to fight someone that makes him have to fight instead of being brilliant for a few minutes and then literally run away for the next three rounds. If he runs away, they should penalize him. | |

| Is Frankie a winner? Frankie Edgar fought a good fight, and won the title according to the judges, but his victory will always be tainted by public opinion. It's a shame he didn't do more to actually deserve this win.
But I guess like anyone else I'd rather take his performance and a win over that performance and a loss, tainted or not.

But I guess like anyone else I'd rather take his performance and a win over that performance and a loss, tainted or not. It's a shame that BJ didn't do more to win the fight. Frankie was active and brought the fight to BJ. If BJ had taken it to the ground or attacked at all he would've gotten the decision. Frankie did those things and won. I think there needs to be a rematch because it was definitely razor thin, however, I don't see how you can be so upset about the decision. It wasn't that bad.

| Yeah, it was definitely close. I also thought Frankie won and looked more impressive than BJ. The problem is the judge that scored it 50-45. After reading his "reasons," which was actually a long rant about nothing, I have to question what that guy was doing there as a judge. I'm usually the one rolling my eyes when people on the ESPN board start saying MMA is rigged or that fight was a dive, or dana pays the judges etc etc. But something was wrong with that judge. I could see 3-2 for Penn or 3-2 for edgar. But I've watched the fight 3 times now, and I just can't see a 5-0 for either fighter. | |

| People want anyone who can possibly beat up Silva now. Because he is acting disrespectful to the sport with his BS. I like Brock more than I like Silva now. | |

| The decision was awful. It was only a close fight if you don't know how to score fights. BJ won this fight easily. | |

I see it as the people that know how to score fights saw it as a close fight. Those who didn't, think it was lopsided for Penn (you and some others) or Edgar (the 50-45) judge.
