Hughes - Gracie Discussion (one spoiler only please)

Okay I wasn't able to catch it live, but I saw the winner of this fight and this fight only. Can anyone give me their recap of the fight. I read a few others online, but I just wanted to know what you guys thought.

It was a pretty slow but competitive stand up fight for 2 rounds with Renzo landing some punches but Hughes repeatedly landing effective leg kicks which pretty much gassed Renzo for the third round...Hughes dominated after that and Renzo could barely stand up.

Lack of training is what gassed Renzo.

really? you don't think it was the ample amount of loud kicks to his leg and being 43 that did him in?

Spare me the senior division please Dana.

The leg kicks absolutely helped it along, no denying that. But he didn't train for this fight the way he should have.

Finally got to see it.

To me it looked like Matt just wanted that stand up victory that eluded him his entire career. He basically did what Griffin, Shogun, and Manoef (minus getting caught) to dominate a good portion of the fight.

You gotta love the sportsmanship both fighters showed before, during, and after that fight. Two legends of our sport.
