| I actually think this show will do the best with UFC 100 bringing in more fans. Now that doesn't mean there will be a 4th show, but I hope so and if not I hope 90% of the fighters sign with the UFC. Belfort, Fedor, Barnett, Lil Nog, Babalu, Mousasi, etc... | |

| Cindy O on the ug says she knows for a fact it's their last show. she's tight with dana so i'm guessing they do know something. | |

| Affliction is eventually going to run out of fights make for PPV. I'm not sure if the 3rd one is last, but how much longer can they go with the same core group of fighters? | |

| No way there is a fourth one. As you guys previously said they don't have that many fighters to keep making new fights. And Fedor is their main dog and who will you put in front of him after Josh. Plus a promotion can't stay afloat for so long if they are paying their fighters more than they are making. | |

| A lot of people worry about their roster of fighters but thats not something I see as a huge deal. In reality they fighter swap and Co-Promote more than any org i've ever seen. I could easily seem them being able to continue making match ups. I just think at the end of the day it comes down to how much money they are losing and if they can keep fedor. I see both of those as the reason this will be their last show. | |

| Affliction, like strikeforce with kimbo, has only one star (fedor). If dana actually signs him i think their done. Dont get me wrong, fighters like mousasi and sobral are great, but to the mainstream i think fedor is the main draw | |

| I doubt they will continue which sucks. They put on great fights. If the UFC doesn't snag Fedor from Affliction's demise it will be extremely disappointing. | |

| It would be disappointing not to get Fedr, but they could still pull some great fighters Vitor, Lil Nog, ect.. | |

| If/When Affliction goes under strikeforce is going to get first dibs on fighters because of the relationship between the two. At the end of the day though if UFC wants guys like Vitor and Fedor they are going to get them over any org here in the states and thats a fact. | |

| Dude, Affliction is in big trouble. They will be lucky to sell T-shirts after a few more years. Most of the good fighters are going to end up in UFC/Strikeforce/Bellator/DREAM. Everyone else will end up in the PFC or smaller regional shows. | |

| As much as I'd like for everyone to go to the UFC, that would effectively end any competition the UFC has. That is a bad thing. | |

| I agree. I don't want only one company, though I get sick of all the UFC bashers. It is obvious that the UFC is the only reason that MMA has made it as big as it is here. I am glad that Strikeforce is finally getting onto the act. | |

| Personally, I think Affliction folding and the UFC monopolizing mainstream MMA will be good for MMA and for the fighters.
MMA needs a dominant organization (like the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc.) in order for the fighters to unionize and get paid more and get more benefits. Also, having only one org synonymous with MMA will be good for the casual fan, who will not have to be wondering who has what belt, who is in what org, etc. One of the reasons why I can't ever really get into boxing is that the whole situation is too chaotic and I just don't have the patience to figure it all out.
Strikeforce will probably always have its place. It will be a feeder org for the UFC.
Once the UFC gets all (or almost all) of the relevant talent, the world's best fighters will be available the general public. I see this as a huge opportunity for mixed martial arts. | |
