| Rampage is definetaly a real not so long term possibility.
Hendo assuming both win is def the next matchup.
Cavalcante is a decent possibility in the not so distant future.
Maybe Mike Kyle.
AND remember Gegard has talked about moving up to HW, so maybe he starts testing those waters earlier rather then later.

| I'm not seeing Page going anywhere, but movies if he leaves the UFC, the ever hopefully Organic.
Then there is Hendo which no doubt is a great fight and would be the best fighter Gerard has faced.
But after that....... Kyle or Cavalcante? come on now

| I can just tell by Quinton's attitude. Taking it personal with the whole A-Team saga and being lost at sea as a coach on TUF. |

| Dana would tie Rampage in some kind of a court struggle if he tried to sign with Strikeforce.
Maybe the Dream tournament will uncover some gems at LHW. Gegard will always be out of my top five at LHW; it just wouldn't be fair to the guys with blemished records in the UFC that are consistently fighting top competition.
I've seen Babulu get knocked out way too many times to ever think he was a top ten LHW so I was not too surprised to see Gegard win that fight. It was a toss-up going in, but the result was not surprising.

| They've tried to bury the hatchet since then, Danabought Page a new 2010 Dodge Challenger, I'm sure everything will be fine. If A-Team does well, I see Page quiting MMA before leaving the UFC, just my opinion. | |

But after that....... Kyle or Cavalcante? come on now Page would tie himself to CBS and showtime by signing with SF, that has already paid off for a bunch of SF fighters in terms of getting face time on TV. He'd also be seen by a much larger audience if he were to fight on CBS, which I'm sure Nike and his other sponsors would be cool with. And along with a Gegard matchup he has a bit of a history with King Mo, so that could be a lure as well. and makeup gift or not, he has had beef with Dana. As far as Cavalcante, he's a big guy, from a great camp, with only one legit loss in 10 fights. (That loss being to Kyle) Doesn't benefit from UFC hype, but the guy is a good prospect. Ever hopeful? I've had a better take then thou on the Gegard situation thus far.

| Ever hopeful as in always rooting for SF
I don't ever remember you saying Gerard was gonna end up signing a long term deal after his current deal. I consider this a questionable and dumb career move personally.
Those matches are stretches, first you got to hope Page leaves the UFC, which I don't see, and if he does, just retiring to act. I see Hendo and that's it, Cavalcante is still unproven and lost his last fight or the one before it to Kyle.

I am a sF fan no question(they give me fights on free tv. why wouldn't I be?), but I don't think im unreasonable in my assessments regarding them. Though I never said gegard would sign with SF, I did argue that it was not a foregone conclusion that he would leave. And my arguments for him possibly staying are pretty much the same arguments I use for any fighter signing with SF. And those arguments are often based on or backed up by direct quotes from fighters who have signed with sf. And yes Cavalcante did win his last fight. KO in the 2nd rd. Im guessing you don't have showtime.

| I think every1 is jumping on the Rampage bandwagon way to quick lol. he may not even beat Rashad and besides that if he does he will be in line for a title shot so why leave the UFC? Im with LA on that I dont see him leaving at all. Mousasi looks like he may be another Fedor in the sense he dont think he needs the UFC and thats fine its totally up to him but sometimes Fedor dont always get the respect he deserves cause people think he doesnt fight the best so Mousasi may have to get ready to hear the same things if SF dont up there roster. | |

| UFC once made a bold, admirable, even respectable move. Dana flew out to Japan with his buddy Chuck to challenge fighters from another Org. Well Chuck got KTFO and Dana probably didn't feel so hot about that afterward. Top MMA competitors stateside have been bound ever since but the blame gets placed on those who are unbound? | |

I could find quotes of the same fighters saying they'd want to fight in the UFC, in the end Gerard is prob signing a long extension, not a good career move IMO Yes I have Showtime, but didn't catch whenever he fought last, Challenger series? either way he's eh, not someone worthy of wasting a fight with Mousasi

| Bad deal for SF because King Mo is gonna beat kermit the frog lol. No these terms really seem like a serious reach. That means SF is investing its future in Mousasi as their future star. I just think either Mo or Hendo beat him anyway. | |

| Kings own hit it on the head when he talked about the division and how it could easily change. Kyle and Calvalcante both represent possible future contenders in Strikeforce to Mousasi. Kyle is one dimensional when matched up against the Werdum's of the world, but he is an explosive athlete and striker, and Cavalcante was a fast rising prospect ala Luiz Cane and Thiago Silva until he was derailed by Kyle after his contract was held in limbo forever following the EliteXC fiasco. He still has a bright future. | |

| To Kings point, it was only yesterday it seemed the UFC had no challengers for Fedor and all the good HW's were outside the promotion. | |

| And a big difference between Fedor and Gegard is that at one time Fedor fought and owned the best and is still competing against solid HWs, although not the best anymore.
Gegard has never fought the best at any point at MW or LHW. Denis Kang, Rameau Sokoudjou, and Babalu are all guys that couldn't hack it in the UFC, and those are his signature wins, in addition to Jacare and Melvin Manhoeff, who haven't been stellar lately. I could never justify putting him in my top five, especially when he will never fight a top ten in the division, save for Hendo, because unlike HW, all the best talent is in the UFC at 205.
