At there absolute peaks I would take Chuck, Wanderlei, Rua, Jackson in the 1st round. Damn that chuck vs Spider fight is tough lol. Second round I say Chuck over Wandy and Shogun over Rampage. Final is Chuck vs Shogun and I think Shogun wins. | |

| Even though Chuck and Wand's prime were just a few years back, I feel like "the game" just keeps getting better and even their best in what 05ish(?) would pale in comparison to today's best.

| Prime Chuck vs. Spider would be very interesting matchup IMO. I would not count out the Chuckster....but i'll go ahead and pick Spider. Wanderlei would destroy Couture by TKO in the ring. In the cage, i can see a close decision because of the Couture hugging. | Rua is not fighting at his peak and he STILL beat prime Machida. A prime Rua would win even more convincingly. |

| Machida would win. Rua without head stomps isn't as good as Rua with head stomps. Pride rules I might have picked him. He did lose to Machida anyway. I agree with Muay it was 3-2. | |

Not sure how to pair the next groups since no seedings were given so I will assume top pairs to bottom as is the norm and the middle will pair...

Randy Couture v. Mauricio Rua - Rua via wicked knee as Couture shoots for a single
Mauricio Rua v. Anderson Silva - Rua by unanimous decision 50-45 (Cecil Peoples), 48-47, 49-47... One judge saw the 3rd round much bigger than the other two did... lol
