Who wins this NHB UFC tournament?

Early UFC rules : No biting, no eye gauging, everything else legal, no judges, 30 min time limit, 3 minute overtime. This event happens sometime in 1994 in Colorado, essentially. Everyone but Tank barenuckled.

Tank Abbott(UFC 7/UU when he was in his prime and competitive with the best in the world. Tank was pretty scary at this time.)

Sakuraba(UFC Ultimate Japan)


You may or may not be able to tell, but I just watched UFC 4, 5, 6, 7 and the first non-numbered event, the Ultimate Ultimate supercard in the last few days.

even at his best Tank would gas after a few minutes.

Wanderlei takes that easily. in his prime he was just too beastly for anyone who wasn't throwing high kicks like they were on 2 for 1 special or loading up uranium in their gloves.

the initial round system your referring to was not supposed to be the way it was

The 36 minute Royce Ken fight went 30 minutes, they on the fly decided to do a 5 minute Overtime
it went 6 minutes.

Same thing happened in Ken vs Oleg only they did a 3 minute Overtime.

When they set up the 30 minutes, 2 3 minute OT's they had judges

ya bird whatever, the rules change for the first 8 UFCs.

Oleg was the toughest SOB I ever saw. Oleg! With no time limit? Royce.

I'd have to go with Wand also. Tank's a barroom brawler, he wouldn't win any tourneys against todays top fighters.
