| Event is slow so far, production not nearly as smooth as past Strikeforce challenger events. | |

Looked like a cheap porno scene from the 90's in that intro. I thought two naked people with bad hair cuts were gonna march out from backstage. lol

| That event was the shits.
The fight that was looking to be competitive got cut short.
I was impressed with Tarec. Considering he got robbed against Dong Bar i think he has been very impressive in what i've seen of him so far. Rockhold is good. Main event was a sleeper, and i usually enjoy the chick fights. I don't know who's going to beat Kaufman at 135 though.
Also, those refs were fucking terrible. Guys getting kicked in the nuts and them saying "you're OK...LET'S GO" and nobody can be in the clinh or grappling for more than 5 seconds without them saying "let's work" and standing them up not long after. If Prangley was on top of Karl like that with any respectable ref they would have given him more time.

| Ya, that was some of the worst officiating I have seen in a while, but all of that was still not as bad as that hometown stoppage in the Te Huna fight last week at 110. | |

| Yeah when that ref said something like "get busy" for the 4th time in 20 seconds in that Prangley fight I was almost waiting for one of them to tell him to shut the fuck up | |

| I noticed that also. They should have looked at him and said that. It was getting on my nerves and I didn't watch the whole fight. | |

| I thought the event was OK, the fights were good, but the all too common to SF ref problems again reared it's head. The "pick up the pace" mantra has to come from up top, it happens it just about every challenger series. Aside from that,
1)Kaufman raised her game to another level, she looked much stronger and in much better shape, like a girl who made the transition from training after work, to training as a professional. Pretty surprised she didn't end it at some point. Felt like she could have at any time.
2)Either Prangley has the best chin in the history of MMA, or Amoussou needs to move down a couple weight classes. amoussou had some quick hands and was landing straight clean shots right on Prangley's chin and they had zero affect couldn't believe he shook them off like that. unfortunate that it ended they way it did. guys should get 5 minutes to recover from an eye poke. Current eye poke rule's are bunk.
3)I thought Rockhold and Tarec both faced decent comp, not cans imo, which is an improvement from SF. some of their other prospects have been spoon fed.
4)SF please stop telling your fighters to bring props to the prefight interviews? I understand trying to introduce these guys to the public, but do I need to see a fighter standing there with his surfboard to get the fact that he is a surfer(similar situation a couple events back with a skateboard)? Or Kaufman(i think) explaining why a crossword puzzle best represents who she is? those interviews are cringe worthy.

| I'm debating even going to the next one at the end of the month. Seems like they could be finding a lot better early career dudes for these cards who are fighting cali shows in smaller venues. The last one I was at kinda blew. | |

| I actually thought the talent was pretty good at this one.
I know the next one has Abongo, and Big Johnson, two interesting heavies.
