Gracie cut by UFC

"Following a week that saw the release of Mark Coleman, Tim Hague, Phillipe Nover and Frank Trigg, UFC officials have added heavyweight Rolles Gracie (3-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) to the list of post-UFC 109 roster cuts.

The move was first reported by The Wrestling Observer and has subsequently been confirmed by multiple outlets."

I'm shocked, I mean he looked so good.

Wow they only gave him one chance then cut him. I hope Liddell is grateful to be a fan favorite.

he fought a can and looked like a bum this was a no brainer considering the Hw division. he had no chance in hell to make the top ten. *edit top 25

He didn't take it seriously. It's a privelege to fight in the UFC, so many people would've taken advantage of that opportunity but this douche came in out of shape and the mexicutioner beat his ass.

The Gracie name is good to have but it won't help you when you look that shitty.

UFC should have invested in Roger Gracie. Atleast he's fought a decent name in Ron Waterman and i doubt he would of looked like a zombie out there.

He looked like crap, he should have been given one more fight in my opinion and I give him credit for fighting with a broken foot instead of canceling the fight.

I thought frankenstein was a more fitting comparison. Strong resemblance in the cranium region as well as fighting style.

Is Roger still under contract to SF? He signed that thing forever ago, and still hasn't fought for them.

No they can't. Roger Gracie announced he signed with Strikeforce at the Evolution press conference and he will be fighting at 205.

I disagree Wolf. Roger has already fought decent experienced competition in Kondo and Waterman and looked good. Where as Rolles fought a 0-3 Graham, a 13-9 fighter and a wikipedia red name before somehow getting into the UFC to get embarrased by a lousy out of shape mexicutioner. I'm confused as to why the UFC picked Rolles over Roger. Maybe they thought he looked more intimidating or even more likely his connection with Greg Jackson's camp and that mcdojo's black belt he gave Rashad Evans.

Im more surprised by Nover getting cut then Gracie.
