| They have the same reach, but BJ is about five times the puncher. Alves doesn't have/use the takedown game enough to threaten BJ there. BJ is unrockable it seems, Alves can be hurt. BJ KO's him upstairs. | |

| BJ can win a third fight. He is good enough to hurt GSP and we seen it in there 1st fight. BJ is skilled enough and as bad as it sounds I think he underestimated GSP. All through the countdown shows all he did is talked about how soft GSP was and that he would take his heart and ultimately his title. I dont think he realized GSP wrestling was as good as it was and he will prepare better this time. BJ would be the underdog but hell yes he could win a third fight with GSP. | |

| If he had another fight at WW first and used this same coach he's been using for conditioning at LW I believe he could pose a threat to GSP. A small one. | |

I agree he does need a fight or maybe 2 at WW to get ready but I definitely give him a shot at winning.

| I hope it happens just so GSP can prove (again) that BJ is no match for him. | |

This You, like Tim, are a Penn homer. I still don't see how anyone could have watched their last fight and come away saying that BJ could win a rematch.

This You, like Tim, are a Penn homer. I still don't see how anyone could have watched their last fight and come away saying that BJ could win a rematch. It's cool Bigs as Redman once said "I'll be that" and I don't just look at the last fight I look at both and compare them. First thing I notice is BJ knew GSP was going straight for the takedown right away just like he did with Serra so he didn't even throw a punch he came out ready for the takedown and he was successful in the opening round. So with cardio he can stop GSP's takedowns when he knows they are coming but I understand if GSP mixes the strikes with the takedown he could still get BJ down. Another thing I noticed was in the first fight BJ had no problem closing his guard on GSP, he didn't go for any subs, but GSP sure wasn't passing his guard either. In the second fight BJ couldn't even keep his legs on his back. That's enough evidence for me to say the greese played a factor. Even though I know GSP is a great fighter to me he will always be the first mma fighter to have his corner caught cheating and nothing be done about it and the whole mma community just accepts it because their GSP fans. And I promise you if the greese thing didn't happen I would agree with everyone else that GSP is just a better fighter

I also for the life of me cant figure out why nothing was ever said or done about it. If it would have been Brock people would go nuts on this board about how he is a cheater and always will be. Another thing we have in common is Im also a Redman fan lol.

| Well, considering I called the outcome and the way the fight played out to the letter(even fourth round tko - still managed that bitches!) I can't backtrack and say the greasing played a part in it, even though it obviously did.
GSP dominated Koscheck, Fitch, Alves and everyone else just as much. BJ Penn at the very least with another fight at WW first, his new coach and minus the grease is somewhat more of an interesting match up, where the rest of these guys have nothing and will always have nothing for GSP.
Not that GSP wouldn't beat BJ's ass again, but in my mind it's less of a certainty than Josh Koscheck, Dan Hardy or Paul Daley, who GSP would all walk right through.

| Regardless, I would much prefer to see GSP move up and challenge Anderson than fight BJ for a 3rd time. IMO that is just a waste of time other than further cementing a fact that most people already know. | |

| Forget about the first fight between BJ and GSP that wont happen again. GSP has gotten a lot better since then plus GSP knows all he has to do is out muscle BJ.
If GSP wanted to stand and trade then yea BJ has a great shot at beating him but GSP realized that wont work after the first round he had with BJ.
BJ won the first round convincingly but the last 6 rounds GSP won.
