| It is pretty clear that BJ came in bad shape for the fight if you look at him at the weigh in for this fight and the weigh in against Sanchez there is a big difference in the way his body looks. The decision could have really gone either way I think the takedown that Edgar got won him the fight. I personally believe that Jose Aldo would school any of the UFC's 155ers. | |

Jose Aldo would school BJ??? Take it easy!! BJ did look alittle fatigued in the 5th round but he had already won the fight in my opion by winning the 1st 3 rounds. The 4th was very close and Frankie won the 5th. The takedown didnt win the fight for him on every1s scorecard cause 1 idiot had it 50-45 for Frankie!! Which still boggles my mind.

| BJ didn't gas like the old BJ did, but he was worn out by the end of the fight. That us why Edgar won the last round pretty decisively compared to the rest of the rounds. | |

| BJ looked lethargic in the last minutes of the 4th and almost the entire 5th round. I think that's a product of Frankie Edgars frenetic pace. That guy didn't lose a step the entire fight. By the last 2 minutes of the fight, BJ looked like he knew he was going to lose the fight. I understand there are a lot of big BJ Penn fans on this board, but Edgar made BJ fight his fight. Whether you agree with the decision or not, Edgar's strategy worked to frustrate and wear down BJ. | |

| I said to myself during the fight while watching the live broadcast, that Penn didn't look like himself, and that I thought he may be battling some sort of injury. But you guys are right, he wasn't in as good a shape as when he fought Sanchez...I just don't understand it...he could've and should've won this fight but now his discussion of P4P with Fedor and Anderson and GSP much be silenced, as of now anyways. | |

| Yeah, its kind of funny because I think it was BloodyElbow.com that listed their top P4P rankings the other day and had BJ ranked #3 and Fedor at #4. I was baffled and then I thought..this came like a day after Dana White argued against Fedor's P4P rankings against Ariel Hawani...must have influenced their hasty decision making. Makes them look absolutely irreparable now. | |

| Bj got slower late in the third and was done in the 4th and shot in the 5th. edgar was game from bell to bell and had a half step on him all night. nuff said but thought the judge that scored it 50-45 was drunk. | |

| 4th round was the critical one IMO it is were BJ has been breaking wills lately (Diego and Kenny) and this time it seemed like when BJ wet to pick the pace up a little, Frankie doubled the pace, I think this threw BJ for a loop and by the 5th he was much more tired than Edgar was | |

i agree i noticed the difference at the weigh-in too. I thought to myself "he doesn't look as good as he has recently". When the 5th round ended Bj was completely gassed, and Frankie looked like he was ready to go another 3 rounds.

| Like GSP said It doesn't matter how much cardio training you do, the person who controls the pace wont get tired, the other person will. |

| BJ took the decision quietly, congratulated Frankie, and humbly walked away from what it seemed. I'm not trying to say BJ isn't capable of accepting a very close, controversial decision with class but everything about him seemed.."off", including his post fight reaction. | |
