| We must brace ourselves for the hordes of nincompoops who will now start claiming Diaz would pose a threat to GSP, standing or otherwise.
If you have found yourself thinking that, slap yourself in the face.

He did stand with Manhoef. That was sarcasm. Ok, fuck it. "GSP would lose to Diaz standing" people must be slow. Let me spell it out in plain English - GSP would destroy Diaz standing or in anyother aspect of the fight game and if you disagree you're a complete retard.

If I disagree with you I'm a retard. lol okay keep trolling buddy. GSP would'nt stand more than 2 minutes with Diaz before shooting on him. If you dont agree with that go watch his matches with Serra again or anyone after that. If Serra out strikes GSP you can bet the house Diaz would.

| GSP out struck Alves who would massacre Diaz. Diaz couldn't slapbox GSP because when he would approach he would just eat a counter or a takedown. He is no where near as fast or as refined as GSP. | |

| I'm 100% with Wolfy on this one. GSP would beat Nick Diaz standing, sitting, lieing on his back, wherever. Nick Diaz is not a great fighter. He has some very specific skills that are made to beat specific styles and levels of fighters. He hasn't beaten anyone worth a damn. I don't even think Nick Diaz is a top 10 welterweight. He's probably top 15, but I'm not so sure. He's slow, his punches are weak, and he's waaaaaaaay too hittable. The idea that GSP can't stand with Matt Serra is laughable. He got caught one time, in one night, and suddenly GSP's standup is suspect? No. I want to see a Nick Diaz vs. GSP fight for sadistic reasons, not because it would be halfway competitive. | |

| I would like to see them fight and although i see GSP winning i dont think it is completely 1 sided the way Wolf does. GSP is a beast and is damn near unbeatable at 170 so Diaz would have tons of trouble but who doesnt have trouble with GSP. | |

Don't know about the watching them fight for sadistic reasons thing, but everything else is on point.

| GSP would win, but it would be alot closer than you would admit Wolf. Nick is very well rounded, but GSP is great at controlling guys on the ground which is exactly what he'll do against any good striker. GSP doesn't really want to stand with anyone anymore. If you think he'll stand with Hardy you're wrong and Nick is a much better striker than Hardy. | |

| Nick Diaz isn't a top 10 ww? Wow thats just fucking pure stupidity. ALOT of people had Marius as top 10 and Nick blasted through him. Nick is top 5 imo. | |

Why would he shoot for a take down if he could just obliterate him standing?

| I think Diaz would cause problems for GSP standing. GSP may be the better technician on the feet, but his relative lack of power coupled with Diaz's iron chin would provide Diaz all the oppurtunity to impose his will. but that's not where this fight would be decided. GSP by gnp. | |

I think it's at the least fair to say that Diaz would lump up Hardy. Heck Zaromskis might lump up Hardy. But that is a little beside the point.

Why would he shoot for a take down if he could just obliterate him standing? Because GSP's standup is sloppy and built around shotokan karate except he's nowhere near as elusive as he should be because then he'd have to telegraph his takedowns. He didn't out strike Alves, he put the fear of takedowns into Alves which took Alves out of his game. I'm not saying a good strategy is bad, and I commend GSP for being able to pull it off and successfully shoot on a guy with knee's so wicked. But GSP in a pure striking battle loses to Alves every time. If Diaz changes levels with his strikes like he did against Zaromskis, GSP is in for a world of trouble while the fight is standing if they fought. and I'm predicting it now as well, GSP will not stand long with Hardy. He's not stupid.

| Nick could hang with GSP, yeah I said it! Because its fucking true. His length, boxing and BJJ would give him problems. Not saying Nick would win but he would give him a fight. | |
