| took a shot from a guy with good power, right on the chin, that KO's most guys.
But yeah he could have leg kicked his way to a TKO in another minute or so.

| That punch that dropped him was a haymaker from hell right on the chin and Lawler has always been known for his power. Not to mention the 2 punches that followed. | |

| Probably, but Lawler won't be pissing himself in terror the next time around and might open up earlier. | |

| ROBBIE FUCKING LAWLER BABY!!!!! I just watched the fight (had plans).
Lawler looked totally outclassed on the feet, but Manhoef got overconfident and really wasn't rocking Robbie. He was hurting him with those body shots though. I think I was the only one who got that one.

| Man, that fight was crazy. I was thinking in my head, "Robbie's getting his ass wooped and he's on his way to a loss," and just as I was telling my cousin who was watching with me, "dude, Lawler is getting his ass kicked, he has KO power and can end it all with just one punch, but he ain't doing shit," suddenly BAM, and Manhoef was on the ground, lights out. Awesome fight, but hope he's okay. | |

| I wonder if Manhoefs usual trunks were not allowed?
He checked all the leg kicks and was still limping around. Those punches and kicks to the body were stiff.

| Yeah that sucked dick. Manhoef was beating the fuck out of him and Lawler looked like a little kid in there. Those are the spots when I hate when a dude pulls a punch out of ass. Hopefully they schedule a rematch | |

| It was an early favorite for KO of the year if u ask me and it was great! He was losing but that is what makes the sport great it only takes 1 good 1 to get u back in it. | |

| If anything it was more impressive than Scott Smiths for the simple fact that if Cung Le hadn't gassed out so bad he most likely wouldn't have gotten caught like that. Lawlor was eating kicks to the body and legs like they were on 2 for one special and he managed to throw at the right time. No it probably doesn't show as much heart to take a more damaging beating in alot less time but it's more spectacular to end a guy who's killing you before Cardio really comes into play. | |

| Lawler was in fact getting his ass kicked. If Mel had more of a chin, he would have one, period, end of story. I am worried about Mel though. When those EMTs entered the ring (and the fact that his eye's rolled into the back of his head) I was afraid that he might 'buy the farm'. That would look horribly upon my favorite sport. | |

| Lawler sprained his ankle during the fight too. That combined with those leg kicks are not a good combo if you want to walk. | |

He did the same thing to Ninja. Melvin started swinging wild and left himself wide open and Lawler made him pay for it. That was skilled professionalism and working a game plan. I'm sure he studied tapes of Melvin and knew he would make that mistake. - Andrew the Raider King wrote:

LOL man that had nothing to do with his chin other than him leaving it out there and getting owned. Henderson probably have been dropped from that shot too but he would not have left his chin out there. It was his own cockiness and lack of defense.

No no no, Im not disagreeing with that, Im saying those extra 2 are the ones that left him looking fucked up, I think without a doubt that first punch is what did the job, but I dont think he is lying on the ground 5+minutes afterwards and getting taken out of the cage before official decision is announced if those follow up shots dont happen
