Aoki - dont read if you didn't watch dream 10 yet spoiler

Does his ranking go up in your mind since he showed some good striking last night? Flying knee, muay thai clinch? Maybe he's not as one dimensional as we thought? I think it's pretty clear his gameplan was to keep that fight standing and beat Vitor in the striking. Granted Vitor isn't bj penn or kenny florian but i was still impressed with aoki. It was a smart fight for him.

I think that will keep him right where he is at in the rankings.

he outstriked a guy who has worst striking then him... yes he showed more striking then hes ever showed but i doubt he will go in with that gameplan when he fight Hellboy

I was impressed, because I had never seen him really strike, let alone sprawl and brawl.

His takedown defense and striking have both vastly improved. He is adapting further as a mixed martial artists. Vitor needs to retire again.

Aoki's striking is still at the Jake Shields level, just because it appeared to have looked improved against another poor striker, does not mean that it in anyway has actually improved.

Not sure about that. He seems to be working well on adding a clinch game and improving his kicks. If he continues to work hard at becoming well rounded he will be a tough fight for anyone.

I think his ranking should not improve even though some sites have him ranked number 1 CRAZY!!

we'll see what happens against hellboy. i dont know who im gonna take yet.
