| Vadim, is there a chance for Fedor to become more popular than Mike Tyson?
In most of the world he has no shortage of star power, but he just started his American career. America doesn't know his face very well yet, unlike their own champions. But I think the recognition is not so far away. We are negotiating, and it's possible that for next show we can do it together with one of the biggest American channels CBS. That would help make Fedor more popular in USA.

Strikeforce is planning to be on CBS by the end of the year.

It would be fucking awful, can you image Fedor losing on network TV? Outside of the UFC? That would kill him in the U.S., just kill him.

| Why should he go to Strikeforce? There's better competition for him in the UFC, and more recognition and popularity to come from it. | |

because they can probably offer him a much less constricting contract. Hell he can probably just write up his own contract.

| So you'd rather fight lesser competition? that makes no sense. | |

| He'd just get a less constrictive contract, not having to sign a prseumed 3+ fight deal, where he has to consistently defend his Title. But there be more money for him to make in the UFC, popularity within the US, and when you're the best fighter ever, who has trouble finding true competition, you think you'd be looking for the best possible opponents at this point. | |

he doesn't need the UFC to be popular in the US.. and he wouldnt go to the UFC for that reason anyway.. and getting a "less constrictive contract" went in with what I said "getting a better contract", it is evident that this is extremely important part of the contract to him... and Fedor has been fighting good comp outside of the UFC anyway... Either way I would be cool with it. Strikeforce or UFC.

| At this point though, after Barnett what is there? AA coming into the fight against Fedor was ranked #2, since he's been finished in 30 seconds by Grimm, Timmy top 10, dropped in 10 seconds by an over the hill boxer. Right now post Barnett fight, it's looking like his best possible opponents are in the UFC, mega fights, not just lying within the HW division either Anderson/Machida. Strikeforce wouldn't do it for me, but this is just my opinion. | |

| I bet if he doesn't come to the UFC then his next opponent will be winner of Overeem vs Werdum. | |

Agree, and hopefully it's overeem, cause that would be a compelling fight. Werdum, not so much. Tied to that possibility is that Roger's would again be left waiting, which has been a consistent theme in his career(though if it possibly means a fight vs Fedor, I think he'd be willing to chill). In many cases I prefer that strikeforce get the fighters, but in Fedor's case, he really needs to be in the UFC. Randy vs Fedor would be a great intro fight. Fedor Brock would be the sport's all time mega fight.

| The UFC has only had "better competition" for seventeen seconds. Shut up with all that. A bunch of upstart wrestlers who have few real quality wins < Josh Barnett. | |

Yes but what does he do after he beats josh. while those upstart HWs in the ufc are not as good as Josh yet they are better then the rest of the field of HWs in any org.
