A UFC official today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) Barao "probably" will be unavailable for the event. Tatame initially reported Barao as a definite no-go.
It's not clear what the UFC would do as its Plan B. | both LHW fights under it would probably be more marketable main event fight anyway. | |

Action wise the co-main event deserves five rounds but I could see them promoting Hendo vs. Shad to the main event. Eddie Wineland vs. TBA Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Mauricio Rua Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson Patrick Barry vs. Shawn Jordan Alexis Davis vs. Rosi Sexton | |

| At least Barao is defending the interim title while Cruz is on the shelf instead of waiting 8 months and in turn holding the division for ransom. | |
