There were alot of people pushing for Tarec vs Maia for the next title shot since Rory won't fight GSP at the moment. I actually prefer that matchup but I'm fine with this one as well.

Why not? SF Champion, Would you still complain as much if it was Nate and not Tarec holding the belt?

Beating Maia would be beating a top 5 WW. He beat Nate soundly 4 rounds to 1/ Reem was given a title shot after 1 win, he then lost it for beating a cheating doucebag. Diaz was given a title shot before he blew it by being too cool for school, Melendez is getting his title shot, if Cormier wasn't buddies with Cain he would have got a title shot right away, so all the other SF Champions are getting love. Why not Tarec? I realize he is the lowest ranked of the group by a wide margin but what is there at WW really? At the very, very worse he is 2 wins for a title shot. At best he could be next in line. I can live with either.

Im fine with him fighting Maia, honestly think he will get dominated on the ground. Those other fighter you mentioned were all ranked in the top 10 in their weight class and have big name wins. One win over a ranked guy -Nate- doesn't get you into a number 1 contender fight in ufc when you consider what guys like Hendricks, Rory, even Ellenberger have already accomplished. He should just leap-frog those guys cause he beat Nate?

i watched it. Nate was not a top 10 ww imo. Tarec destroyed him with leg kicks. It was impressive. Not automatic number 1 contender in the ufc impressive though...

I'll take your opinion into consideration, but mine and most rankings out there considered Nate top 10, consider that.

he was borderline top 10. Im not saying he was ranked 50th. Im not sold on Tarec being this world beater. And if Maia wants this fight than give it to him.

Nate Marquardt is a cheater and should have criminal charges for his Captian America levels of testosterone before a fight. TRT abuser.
