KJ's standup is pretty overrated. And that was a close fight, Noons boxed his ears off in round 2. Maybe if he had gotten a haircut the day before he would have fared better

Diaz schooled Noons, and fought against his strengths. How many times have we heard that Nick is gonna get outstruck? First it was zaromskis, than noons, than daley. Pretty sure he proved that no one is gonna exchange punches with him and come out on top. Does he take punches, yea, but his chin in solid. GSP ain't gonna drop Diaz with punches, if he wins it's gonna be by laying on him for 5 rounds while taking no risks to finish the fight.

Nick landed some nice combos in that fight and even if KJ's standup skills are overrated they are still much better then GSP's, who also has overrated standup. His standup took a major hit when his confidence in this standup was smashed by Serra. Nicks proves his standup vs standup fighters so we can see the proof of his skills. Post Serra GSP uses flashes of standup to setup the takedown. But he won't put himself in danger for long enough to really show any standup. But if he had to stand, Nick would box his face off 99 times out of 100.

I sense people talking the right game but being fully prepared for what they know is coming; GSP showing that Nick Diaz isn't good enough at MMA for him.

Diaz didn't school Noons they split the first 2 rounds decisively and then really nothing much happened the last 3 rounds of the fight and Diaz won by being the busier guy
OU, you're trying to use GSP's wrestling and safe gameplans to take shots at his standup. Just because he takes the easier path to victory doesn't mean his kickboxing isn't great. Took a couple jabs to break Kos' face, tagged Condit hard multiple times in that fight. His diversity on the feet would give Nick problems and I think we'll see that Saturday night

No his kickboxing isn't great because it isn't great. Not anywhere close to the level of Nick's boxing.

Every aspect of his game is great. It's why he hasn't been beaten in 6 years

I completely disagree, he has 1 aspect that is great and that is how he sets up his takedowns. He is amazing at setting up takedowns. He also has very good strength that helps his wrestling and he has great top control and defensive BJJ. But his offensive BJJ game is not great, it's good, his standup isn't great it's just OK right now but he great at mixing it all in. He is great at getting and keeping top control and winning rounds. That is what he is great at and that is why he keeps winning. But saying everything he does is great is just incorrect.

No you don't see because he rarely uses it for anything except setting up a takedown. Post Serra he is a scared standup fighter.

I think the dislike for GSP's style and wrestling have made people create a vulnerability for him on the feet that doesn't really exist. Its evident when people talk about matchups like one with Hendricks and act like if GSP couldn't get him down consistently it would only be a matter of time before he was unconscious. GSP would make Johny look like a rank amateur on the feet. That's not to say one big left could clip him, but come on

Nick would box Hendricks ears off, they aren't really comparable. But Johnny could very well put GSP to sleep or any WW that stood infront of him. No shame in that though dude has insane power. I think GSP would do much better vs Hendricks in a standup fight because outside of the big haymaker he is a better standup fighter then Hendricks. Hendricks is a wreslter with KO power, but his overall striking is not that good.

I think it's more to do with the Serra loss and the fact Condit wobbled him.

Well apparantly Dana is a lying asshole again. Well if you can beleive Ceaser who isn't much more credible himself. On twitter yesterday Gracie said Dana agreed to let Nick reschedule his workout. Ariel even retweeted it.

I hate my youtube right now, the only part I can watch is the same 1 minute part where Nick says "He thinks I'm trying to be like a bully from when he was a kid and you know, but let me ask you this Georges, how many times have you had a gun to your head, how many of your friends got shot in the chest and beat down?"
What the fuck is he talking about?
