I took Diaz, Hendricks, Ellenberger. But honestly I think Nick loses a boring fight where GSP controls positioning and takes no risk and does no damage...like usual. But I really don't like Condit, Marquardt or GSP these days.

| I'm completely expecting Diaz to have a typical incoherent tantrum and retire after GSP soundly defeats him. He's gonna have a long list of people who should be blamed for it, it meaning who knows?, himself not included. | |

there has debate on the interwebz this week with people actually suggesting GSP has better standup then Nick. Which is insane IMO. More diverse? Absolutely. Better? Not even close. GSP will tell you he isn't the same fighter post-Serra and he doesn't take any risk. So the first exchange he loses he goes to the ground. But just the confidence Nick has in his standup compared to GSP is really what makes the difference. Nick has stood up with quality standup fighters and put them away. GSP has no interest in doing that and will always take the easiest possible route to victory, which is smart. But still in a striking only fight he would get brutally pwned by Nick.

| You know, GSP got the decision yeah but you know, I don't know. I didn't get, you know I don't think that, you know. I'm not getting paid you know, enough money you know. The judges you know. I don't think he did enough to you know but hey you know. I'm gonna retire and box you know. My body is hurting you know but I still fought you know. |

| GSP could pick Nick apart on the feet. Diaz has good boxing but his standup style only reaches its maximum potential when guys stand in front of him and wear themselves out throwing haymakers at him because he looks like such an easy target. Eventually they gas, get backed up against the cage and then cover up and get beat on. GSP wouldn't fall that game plan | |

If it was a striking only fight then GSP would only train for that and put all his effort into mastering that because he would know he can't take it down. He would kick Nick Diaz and jab and move to a probable points victory. In saying that though right now I'd give Nick the advantage. Probably, you know. |

Not only does he not have the ability he lacks the interest. We likely won't get to see how Nick is a better striker because GSP won't exchange for long.

| Also you are way underselling the body shots Nick throws like no other in MMA. Those a a major part for both the "gassing" and "covering up". | |

| Against immobile targets which GSP isn't. Obviously he would lack the interest in a standup only fight when it takes away his biggest strength. That doesn't mean he can't bring it there | |

| Those pictures are my point. Smith, Daley, Cyborg...those are the kind of guys Diaz is going to excel against. Guys with good boxing technique who can move still have success against him. Probably why he still had trouble with Noons in the rematch | |

He beat Noons pretty soundly IMO. KJ has better standup then GSP ever will.

Let's just be honest. GSP is a boring champ. He fights not to lose. He fights to control and win on points. He exploits a fighter's weakness and hardly ever takes risks to finish an opponent.
Is it smart? Yea. Is it exciting? Fuck no. The most exciting part of the Condit fight is when he got blasted with the head kick.
I honestly think GSP will be to overzealous to land his gnp and get caught in an armbar
