Reports that Miami and Clemson interested in Big 12

Dude at my work who is a Miami fan was telling me about it. Just looked it up.

I guess FSU too.

Doubt they go for both Florida markets. Clemson makes sense along with one Florida team

Yeah I would be it would be 1 Florida team and Clemson.

No room in the SEC. Kind if an awkward situation geographically.

Said it before if/when the Sec expands, it's UNC #1 then likely a Virginia school next.

Clemson and FSU or even Miami to the Big 12 would be pretty sweet IMO. I'll take them over Colorado and Mizzou. I'd still rather go back to Nebraska and A&M but that would be an acceptable replacement I guess.

In the world of super conferences FSU and Clemsons are players and need a home. Big XII works but still a little funky location wise.

Yeah but it doesn't appear that location(in terms of distance) is much of a factor in any of these conference moves. WV is kind of out of place in the Big 12 as well.

Big 12 should've just added Louisville and tried for Clemson next. We would've been a great fit in every way and helped out slot in several sports. We travel more than most colleges too.

As a stories football program, yes. However the big 12 should've added my CARDS with WVU at the same time. We are better in most other sports than FSU and I know we have better facilities since we are top 3 in the nation. To add FSU now instead if Louisville last year was dumb. Our other three top money making sports are top 10 in national rankings for the last three years. We have a BCS win in 2006. Its about money. Markets matter. Fanbase matters. Football matters. FSU tops UL in every single category that truly matters. Hoops is nice. There is some money there, but not enough. That is why no one gave a shit about KU or Duke during the conference realignment. An overall sports program means little too. Surprisingly some conferences really care about academics. It doesn't make sense to me, but I believe UL is waaaay down the list there too.

Not too mention I net we ha e 20,000 plus buy tickets to the sugar bowl. Our tv market isn't too shabby either. Number one college basketball tv market for how many years now?

The football money barely covers our alcohol sales farmer. We're right there with anyone in money made.

Alcohol sales don't bring money to the conference. Plus the Big XII doesn't allow alcohol to be sold in the home stadiums I don't believe.

Yeah but bowl game wins do. When we beat FSU in the orange bowl and get our third bcs trophy im sure we will get more respect. Like i said, FSU is a known football powerhouse but we own them in every other sport. I would rather pick up a proven school than a washed up team who is a shell of what they once were. Aside from the Kragthorpe era my CARDS have been much better than FSU. I think this might be the first top 10 team FSU has had in some time. I could be wrong though. I know we beat their ass last time we played.

We have a bcs bowl win though and you forgot the asterisk for us being Kragthorped. That. Just. Isn't. Fair.

How many world series, sweet 16, elite 8, or final fours do they have? Heck we even have a few women's final fours and one runner up.

And the realignment is indeed all football driven. Cause that is where the big $$$ is. Otherwise these teams would not leave the BE. Nor would Md leave the ACC for the B1G.

Oh I know. You can'tt blame me for throwing in the bcs win. I live in bball country. I guess Im looking at everything as a whole. I know it comes down to money though.
