Faber is coming off a decision loss to Renan Barao. They fought in the main event at UFC 149 for the interim Bantamweight title.

Don't understand why there was so much bitching online about this fight. Faber should have to win 3-4 fights to get another crack at a belt, he shouldnt be starting with a top 5 opponent

Faber is established enough now that he's always going to be in the mix unless he drastically declines, besides he's only one fight away from beating Bowles.

I think people are upset because this guy just got handled by Faber's teammate in his last fight. Might not be so much bitching if it was coming straight off the Yamamoto fight.

Faber is established enough now that he's always going to be in the mix unless he drastically declines, besides he's only one fight away from beating Bowles.

He lost to the real champ and got straight dominated by the interim champ. He should not be in the picture at all right now
