That came out this year ? I'll admit it was better than I expected but I still feel the original is superior.

It's a genre piece. I take it you don't like the found footage genre?
It bothered me a little bit. I even considered turning it off early in the movie cause I thought that style was kind of annoying. But I thought it was a good movie, worth the watch for sure. After awhile I got over the camera and I enjoyed it.

Source Code was a fantastic movie. Prince Of Persia wasn't so bad, at least it had a tanned Gemma Arterton.

It IS funnier than Borat. the Satire and overall consistency of the jokes is much more pronounced than his off the cuff montage. I'm not saying Borat isn't funny because it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen but the Dictator tops it with content apples to apples.

Reviewing movie thread. Of the movies I remember watching this year.
Drive is the movie that sticks out most to me. May have been a 2011 movie but I didn't see it until this year. I like Hunger Games more then Avengers. 50/50,Warrior, In Time, Moneyball, John Carter were decent movies. Chronicle and 3:10 to Yuma were good as well. 21 jump street was probably the best comedy I remember this year. Better then the new American Pie, The Sitter, Horrible Bosses and Cedar Rapids.
Edit: Ides of March was another good one.

I liked In Time and Chronicle. You didn't see 3:10 to Yuma until this year? I didn't see the Avengers or Moneyball. Warrior is an obvious one I liked, and 50/50 seemed a bit wierd, probably because it hits home for Me. 21 Jump Street was funny, but I'd probably rank Cedar Rapids just slightly ahead only because Cedar Rapids did more with less in terms of star power. American Pie was about what you'd expect, and Horrible Bosses was funny. I watched the Sitter but it wasn't anything special. Jonah Hill is an incredibly tiny person for someone who used to be fat as shit.

Avengers was the overrated movie of the year .. it was good.
Was moneyball this year? and Dragon Tattoo? I did like both of them.
as for comedies go: Ted, 21 jump street and The Dictator come to mind (its not better than borat though).. 50/50 was okay.. I know I saw more I just cant remember.
and I did enjoy Cabin in the Woods..
didn't care too much for Chronicle.. but still enjoyed the watch I suppose
I have not seen this that are on multiple lists: Lincoln Argo Skyfall Moonrise Kingdom

Zero Dark Thirty seems to be the early contender for the best picture Oscar.
