Because I'm a man, and it wouldn't matter who won the election four years ago like it doesn't matter who won the election today. I'm better off than I was four years ago because of my own hard work and due diligence. If I want to see the reason for any amount of prosperity I have achieved in my life I look in the mirror.

Yeah I'm also better off. My money might have grown faster if Mitt would have won but it's still growing either way. I get paid more now then I did 4 years ago. Each year I don't touch my money that I have invested it grows so I have more money in every bank account I have right now then I did 4 years ago. It mattered to me which man won, but not enough to where I would take a loss.

Better off here as well. Get paid more, and closer to paying off my house.
Now I do know a bunch of guys in the construction fields who have trouble finding consistent work. Though that started in the final months of Bush. Now if u went back 6 years, I think more people would say no, Im not better off now, though at that time no one knew they were standing on top of a bubble.

I'd think if u are talking pure stock market, then your portfolio has prob grown about 100% since Obama took office.

I wish. It has had some nice, steady growth. But I have far from doubled my money.

I will say though that last year I made as much in interest as I did my entire years salary.

I have 3 different types of accounts. I use to be more aware of what companies they were tied up into, I recently made some slight changes. But basically I have one account that is used as my retirement that I will get penalized if I tough before I'm 60. But if I don't touch it I will be looking at a sweet retirement. Then I have money that is more tied up and being used more aggressively. Finally I have money that is available to me at any time but it collects a much smaller interest then the other two accounts. All accounts being handled by my guy at Wells Fargo.

i have one roth IRA(usaa) that lost 48% in early 2008 , even with constant investments it has not reached its 2007 mark. That being said I have been able to save money make some nice investments on my own and owe less on my house, with no debt other than mortgage.

No. Nothing to do with politics though. I just personally don't like what the country is becoming and in time it will have a personal effect.
