What will happen to Bill Belichick?

What makes things worse is this thing is everywhere right now. It was on Good Morning America, it's a lead story on Yahoo right now. Put his hands on an official, but the timing is what makes it bad. Letter from NFL before this weeks games warning them to layoff the officials.
To make it worse, there is a rule that you can't review a FG that doesn't touch a crossbar. You can't review a ball that goes over the crossbar. I had no idea, Colin Cowherd just read the official rule.

I think they need to suspend him a game. They would if a player grabbed a ref.

I think that would be the right call. They sent out that e-mail because they wanted to protect the refs. Time to send a message.

It will probably just be a fine. That's what is expected.

I think they will come down hard on him to set an example. easily 100 to 250K. They might be messing up, but at the end of the day both teams still have to play with them. The league just sent out a memo about interactions with the refs also. I think the league is gonna be busy handing out fines this week, I mentioned in the week one power rankings posts that these games are a lot more dirty, there are a lot more skirmishes after the whistle and a lot more illegal hits. The league is gonna try to get back control and make some money in the process. But I think these refs might be here to stay.

Maybe, but I don't think he will be suspended. He could and it would be unprecedented and send a strong message, but I don't think it will happen. The NFL has suspended coaches before but not for anything like this.
