Well you are casting judgement on a man you didn't know. You are also attempting to tell others how to feel about someone's death. You can't tell people how to feel about death, it's not your place.

If Ali had just messaged me that he had a cousin that committed suicide I would've apologized to him and I would've dropped it. Yet he had to make it personal.

I'm not going to bother arguing. All I'll say is I'm allowed to my opinion also and I had no idea about his cousin. He made it personal about my religion but no one has said anything about that either but no surprise there

I apologize for flying off the handle, I was close to my cousin so to hear you say that just set me off. Bringing up Islam was a bitch move on my part, I brought it up because I know how strongly that religion treats that subject and looks upon the people who commit it.

problem is Islam tells you that if you kill innocent civilians you go to hell.
Then came Sayyid Qutb, Abdullah Azzam, Osama Bin Laden and several others who hijacked the religion (with the majority not being religious scholars) and interpreting their own views of islam allowing suicide and murdering innocent civilians.

I just was curious since suicide and religion are being brought up in the same discussion and, no offense is meant by this, but since Sayyid Qutbs writings, the islamic religion seems to have two views on the subject.

That is a rough diagnosis all together. Inoperable Brain Caner. It's a death sentence for most and not a pretty ending at all. He was 68, I've talked with friends about how it will be to be old and physically falling apart from cancer to dementia, the tole that kind of suffering has on a person mentally. I'll judge Tony Scott. I don't fault him much for his difficult decision. Living and dying is a hell of a thing. Taking your own life in that situation is extreme, but it is his life, he chose how he would end it, not some cancer that would ruin him. He gave mercy to himself.

I feel sorry for somebody so broken that they find no more reason to live. I've been in some pretty bad states of depression in my life where i just want my brain turned off and waking up is the most brutal thing. Never felt suicide was an option but i can only imagine whats going on with people who fall so far into depression that they would end it. That's a scary place.

The only real condemnation i have of the act is how it effects those close to that person when it can be prevented..but i don't know the pain and suffering of somebody willing to kill themselves, so i don' judge or spit on somebody who commits suicide..and if i cared about them when they were alive, i'll mourn them when they are gone. Unless it's like a murder/suicide situation.

As for Tony Scott..i loved his movies. He was on his way out and he chose how he wanted to go. From the looks of it, he decided he didnt want to suffer. That does not make him less of a person to me...and somebody slowly dying of terminal cancer or whatever he had, is just as if not more taxing on loved ones as losing somebody unexpectedly.
