I have never understood "getting back together" .. I hear people say "well we have been together on and off for blah years" .. Breaking up almost just seems like its used for a power play sometimes... "oh yeah you dont want me going out late with the girls? than we're done" .. "oh no baby blah blah"

If my girl, who I have been with for over 2 years now and live with, tells me she wants to break up for whatever the reason.. I would never speak to her again.. would i be torn up? of course.. but you should never have to crawl and beg for somebody to love you because if thats the case they don't .. It also seems like you have convinced yourself that she's the best you can do.. which isn't good to your self-esteem
