| Finally watched the tape.
Watching live I thought Sonnen got caught before he threw the spinning back fist, but that is not the case. Makes that knee even more sketchy. | |

you still think it hit him in the face despite close ups and all that showing it directly landing on his chest?
or do you think Chael took a dive?

| When Chael fell on his butt after missing that spinning back fist he was defeated. Shark smelled blood. Sonnen was mentally fried at the point. It was the culmination of a lot more then a missed strike and slip. | |

The knee cap hit Chael in the top of his chest. No doubt about it. The leg/thigh/just above the knee hit Chael in the face. While it is not the ideal way to kick someone, it is still a kick. It busted his tongue and could have easily rocked him. Its kind of like an inside leg kick that hits just inside the leg and slide up into the groin. While contact was clean, it was also not clean at the same time. That is not to say Anderson still wouldn't have won after Chael went all Chael (something stupid to give it away). | |

Agree with the bolded part, but not the rest. Chael just spent 5 min on top of Andy. He makes one mistake, and he's not done yet. He wasn't even hit yet. | |
