Didn't the Giants do the same? Also the Steelers not long before? I personally think the Packers still make the playoffs, so IMO it won't be much of a factor when the season ends.

Exactly! If those teams had been robbed of a blatant victory then they would of not won the championship.

Yeah I guess you are right about that. However this year I don't expect it to really be a factor. Since I expect GB to make the playoffs and I don't see any other team that I can point to and say the refs changed the outcome. You are right in that it could effect the playoffs, I just don't think it actually will.

But it's not even that game, it's impossible to quantify how single calls or an array of no calls and incorrect calls and other management errors effect games.

Yeah I guess, but that seems awful nit picky to me. You could argue that every game had replacement officials so it's something all teams had to battle. But you could argue some worse then others which would add to your point. I personally don't think it will be much of a major impact and I won't consider this SB Champion any less Champion then previous years. You could argue the butterfly effect but IMO it's less of an impact then say the shortened NBA season.

I do, it's akin to changing the rules mid-season really. No refs are perfect but to play one portion of the season with a staff who have demonstrated lack of acceptable aptitude for the job and the other portion with a staff of differing ability to do the job creates a situation of inconsistency where the validity of the one portion of the season is scrutinized. The SBb champ will still be a great team either way though, it's not that serious, but it is not ignorable either.

But the Seahawks won that game fair and square head up. So that alone makes it less upsetting. Yes, I understand that they would have an extra win that shouldn't be there. But I could live with it.
Maybe I'm just being naive, but I certainly don't think there needs to be any kind of * added to this season.

Easy for you to say now, if it happened, we would all suffer.
