Republican Party Elects White Supremacist

Steve Smith, a white nationalist with a violent past, was elected to the Republican Party committee for a county in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Smith, who is listed as the state chairman of the white nationalist group American Third Position, proudly shared a photo of the certificate commemorating his election on the website, White World News.

Several commenters on the site congratulated him.

CONGRATULATIONS, SIR! This may seem like just a small step now, but this is how we are taking our nation back and it's how we will secure a future for our people. Everyone needs to look to Steve's example. He's a true patriot!
The Southern Poverty Law Center said that Smith was a member of the Aryan Nations and a skinhead group known as Keystone United. In 2003, Smith and two other skinheads were arrested for shouting slurs and throwing a brick at a black man from Scranton, PA. He pleaded guilty to making terrorist threats and ethnic intimidation and received a 60-day sentence.

In 2010, Smith attended a school board in Wilkes-Barre and objected to a call to hire more minority teachers, saying that the proposal was anti-white. "Diversity is not a strength," Smith said.

He also had a letter to the editor published in the local newspaper last November in which he defended the racial profiling of blacks. "Whites need to stop walking on eggshells when it comes to the issue of race and crime," he wrote. "We need to stand up and speak out against what is happening to our once-safe communities."






Feel the need to post this after the radical Republican anti immigration activist killed his entire family and himself while possessing chemical weapons in his home. Nobody can act surprised if this nut job tries to do something.

The suit was focused on the party and two of its members, who stood out front of a polling place in Philadelphia on Election Day 2008 wearing military gear. They were captured on video and were accused of trying to discourage some people from voting. One carried a nightstick.

Smith is also an active member of local Tea Party groups, a network that he used to gain support for his bid for the committee seat. According to the SPLC, Smith referred to the Tea Party as “fertile grounds for our activists.”

I dont know what you think you owe to the democratic party or what seems like the plight of minorities but most people benefit from subsidiaries for food, housing, schooling and employement. How can one elected dude in Pennslyvania get you all worried. Again your not bothered by Acorn and similar groups like new black panthers and leader Malik shabazz which influence and lead a huge number of people to essentially decide the direction our country will go in. I dont know if you feel guilty because blacks were slaves or you just identify with the plight which they have gone through, but beleive me there has never been a better time to be born black in the US. Oh and 10s of thousands of white men lost gave their lives to set them free from people who bought them from their countrymen so dont feel like you have to give your 40 acres to anyone. I am not a republican, I am registered independent I am financially conservative and liberal on most social matters but almost everyone is a jackass bird no need to have such a slanted view.

That is 100 hundred percent wrong. Just because there is more non whites born now than whites doesn't mean whites are the minority. More White people are born now than any other race so that makes zero sense.
