Why should Shad drop to MW? He gave Bones a tougher fight then anyone else so far. Only 2 losses in his career. He holds wins over a number of top 10 LHW and could beat the majority of the rest of the top 10 that he hasn't faced yet.

You can't assume Evans can make the MW limit and you can't assume he would be still be productive if he did. He isn't getting muscled around at LHW, he is still ranked in the top 5. It just seems extremely silly for someone to ask Rashad to drop to MW right now. Should all LHW not named Jones drop to MW? Doesn't make sense to me.

Evans has said a bunch of times he'd make MW easily. He's one of the smallest LHW's in the UFC. You can assume he can make MW and he'd do it easily enough where you'd assume he'd be as productive. Maybe more, if it helped his cardio.

He said he was going to "attempt" to drop to MW AND/OR fight dream matchups at LHW, IF Bones and him were still cool. He was saying he was willing to go to that extreme for his "friend" and training partner. He did not say that was his desired career choice. Never once has he said that.

Is this kid seriously denying Evans is a small LHW? The guy is the size of Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Anderson Silva etc.

I think Evans needs to drop at this point. The two best LHW's out there easily beat him once already. He could make a splash at MW and use his wrestling against Anderson.

Machida is 0-2 vs Shogun. Not sure what article you were reading. Also you can post the Rashad face all you want, doesn't change the fact that Evans could be favored in a rematch. I remember Randy knocked out Chuck the first time around. What happened the next time?

Jones, Rua * 2 and Rampage all beat Machida. I'd take Rashad in a rematch and wouldn't be surprised if Hendo would beat him either. Machida isn't top 3 anymore.

Machida is bad style match up for Rashad. Just like Shogun is bad style matchup for Machida.

I would favor Machida to beat Rashad and Shogun again if these matchups happened. Styles
make fights.

It has been known for a long time that Machida and Rashad could easily make 185, but just stayed at 205 because they were winning. If you remember when the Bisping/Rashad matchup was made, Rashad said if Bisping beat him he would drop...of course he beat Bisping and Mike was the one who ended up dropping. Now that both have lost and will probably never hold a title at 205 again because of Jones, 185 makes complete sense.

Sadly, Machida won't drop because of his friendship with Anderson and God forbid a friend of Andersons' fights at in his weightclass. Look at how the Wand/Anderson fued started.

Rashad wont drop simply because of his pride. He doesn't want to admit that Jones made him dropped weightclasses.

I'm looking here, and Machida is 1 and 1 with Rua according all these articles actually...odd. He only did so well in that first fight because of the leg kicks. How many leg kicks has Shogun thrown since? Even a BBW tapout douchefan could spit this kind of MMA knowledge. Machida would trash Shogun in a third fight. Bank on it.
