I don't think staying at 205 lb is a good move for the future of his career. In my opinion he could easily lose to guys like Shogun, Gus, Hendo, and Machida again. And its not like he is going to ever get another title shot again anyway with Jones as the champion.
He should move down to 185 and make a title run, where I would favor him against everyone except Anderson, Chael, and Vitor.
Even against Anderson and Vitor he has a shot to wrestlefuck them.
Chael is just a horrible matchup for him, but if he implores a stick and move boxing strategy he could maybe win.

I think he's still the 2nd best LHW out there. He should move down though. I think he could beat anyone at 185.

Rashad is good enough to stay at 205 and he will probably do so but 185 definitely is an interesting thought. I dont think Chael is a bad as a matchup as u do though Ninja.

Disagree strongly with Rashad to 185, he didn't let his hands go like he should've, yet he was more effective then anyone has been against Jones, the buildup and all the emotion took him out of this fight, along with elbows he couldn't seem to get away from. Make his next fight against a top contender, Machida rematch, Shogun, see how he does at that point and go from there

No, I'm a 205-pounder," Evans stated. "I've only lost twice and I lost to some good competitors. I mean, it would be nice if I won all my fights but it doesn't happen like that sometimes.
"[However] If an opportunity happens at 185lbs then I'll take it. But I like 205lbs. I feel like I can work my way back up and get back to another title shot."

I think Evans should stay at 205. He can easily work his way back up and i think he has a better fight for Jones than he offered.

I disagree, while I give Reshad plenty a hard time, he is still one of the best LHWs in the world and all-time. Only been stopped once in his career and gave Jones, who is continually a better version of himself, the most competition anyone has in years. To me that is not the sign of man who doesn't belong in a division. He might be beat by others at 205 still, but not many, he will be a fixture of the top ten for a few more years at 205.

I give him 2-3 years left before he falls off, but agree of your assessment now. His game relays on speed and quicks. I think have a bright future at either weight class. I give him a better shot of beating Anderson than Jones.

"Anderson Silva is somebody I would love to fight because when it's all said and done, whether you win or lose, to compete against the best in the sport is really what it's all about. You know, if I can walk away from my career and say I competed against some of the best in the sport in my time and era, then I can wrap up and say I had a really great career. So if the opportunity comes, and that fight happens, yeah I would drop to 185 to fight. Why not?"

Weight issue aside I'd love to see Shad vs. Belfort.

Plenty of other fights I'd rather see Vitor in.
