| - Fedor wrote:
- "I can tell you the timing of my next bout right now,” said Emelianenko. “It’s going to be June or July.” Fedor further stated, “Of course, I want to compete at home, in front of my countrymen,” “But at the moment, the strongest and most respected MMA organization is situated in America. It’s the UFC. Therefore, I have to go to the US in order to face the strongest opponents.”
In an interview with Sportbox.ru, legendary MMA heavyweight, Fedor Emeliankenko gives some insight as to where he sees his future in mixed martial arts. After dropping three consecutive losses during his Strikeforce tenure, the former Pride champion is now riding a two fight win streak and looking for stronger opposition. However, despite various reports of Fedor possibly facing Cain Velasquez or Josh Barnett, nothing has been decided on just yet, although Fedor did confirm that both options are being discussed. - Fedor wrote:
- “I really sympathize with Josh, and we’ve been friends for a long time,” he said. “Perhaps, he is the only fighter whom I wouldn’t want to meet in the ring.”
Will we finally see the Last Emperor inside the octagon? http://bjpenn.com/mmanews/?p=16408

| The more I read this the more I start to see Fedor as a Zuffa zombie. Fedor is the greatest of all time and for him to argue that he needs to go to the UFC to fight better competition means he just doesn't get that Fedor is the best and has been brainwashed by Dana. I bet Fedor probably never watched Pride and probably never saw any Fedor fights. He probably doesn't stay up late and watch Get-Buck Fighting Xtreme put on amateur super-HW WMMA fights and just reads about shit online. Fedor is a Fedor hating poser, so fuck him! War Fedor! | |

| Is it possible that Fedor is seeing the light of current reality? That would be nice, because I would like to see him in the Octagon. | |

He'll spank dat ass. Idk bout that. Love the fight, but I think that would be a tough one to call. I would probably go with Fedor to be honest, and I am not a Fedor fan.

| I would hope no commission would sanction that fight. Couture never had a chance and at this point the fight would be dangerous. | |

| Why do they always feel the need to challenge themselves when it's too late ? |

I seem to remember him fighting nothing but top ten fighters save for the occasional excursion into fights with then-bout it Olympic Silver Medalists and Giant Korean monsters. The only time Fedor's competition can really be questioned is in the here and now when he is flirting with Todd Duffee.

I ain't dissing Fedor's past competition I am just asking why do greats most of the time feel the need to challenge the best when they're over the hill, Roy Jones being a prime example. |

Then question Matt Hughes slate of guys too. Fedor fought top guys his whole career, other than the accepted amount of tune-up fluff Pride fed everyone there. Hate the game. Not the Player.

| http://mmajunkie.com/news/28002/despite-recent-rumblings-fedor-emelianenko-not-even-a-little-bit-on-ufcs-radar.mmaLAS VEGAS – For UFC president Dana White, Fedor Emelianenko (33-4) is a name that just never seems to go away. Recently, the former PRIDE heavyweight champion told Sportbox.ru he was considering a potential fight in the UFC. Apparently, White didn't get the memo. Despite recent back-to-back wins over Satoshi Ishii and Jeff Monson, Emelianenko isn't coming to the octagon anytime soon, said the UFC boss. "Not even a little bit," White told told MMAjunkie.com ( www.mmajunkie.com) when asked if Emelianenko was at least on his radar. Emelianenko was once considered the greatest heavyweight fighter in the sport. However, he's currently on the rebound after a three-fight skid that ended an incredible 10-year unbeaten streak and prompted his exit from Strikeforce this past summer. Emelianenko's recent wins have done little to deter critics who say his time has passed. Most notable among them is White, who earlier this year said Emelianenko "sucks" during an ambush interview with celebrity gossip website TMZ. Of course, that wasn't always the case. In 2009, following the collapse of Affliction, White negotiated with Emelianenko and his management group, M-1 Global, for a potential blockbuster fight with then-UFC champ Brock Lesnar. At the time, White said he offered "a ton of money, everything that he wanted" in addition to allowing Emelianenko to participate in sambo tournaments when not training for a fight. "He could go fight in sambo every [expletive] Thursday night if he wants to," White said at the time. However, the two sides could not come to terms, largely based on M-1 Global's insistence on co-promoting events, and Emelianenko signed with Strikeforce, which at the time was a competing promotion. "I put my money where my mouth was and laid everything out and tried to make this thing happen, and they're coming up with unrealistic [expletive]," White said at the time. Emelianenko then suffered three-straight losses, much to White's delight. Now that the Russian heavyweight has put two more check marks in the win column, White said his feelings haven't changed. "That was a guy who was made an incredible offer, and they laughed at it," White said. "They aren't laughing now." | |

| http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/3/30/2913948/fedor-emelianenkos-manager-says UFC President Dana White recently said that he has zero interest in signing Fedor... You need to know Dana. If he says he has no interest in signing Fedor, then in fact, he really wants to. He says one thing, and doing another. How can you not want a fighter who can bring millions? Any fight with Fedor could break all the rating records in the UFC. Maybe you should make the first step? We are open for dialogue. It's just that Dana White thinks that we will come to him, kneel down and say: "We are ready for any conditions to sign a contract." Of course, this will never happen. Fedor deserves nothing but respect. But like I said, there's still a high demand for Fedor. We are ready to have Fedor fighting in the UFC, it's just that we need a normal offer. And the fact that White is always saying that he offered us everything "on a silver platter" is a lie. It's also very interesting to note that UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta had a very different take when asked about Fedor on Twitter last week: CRISPY_PIG liam treston @lorenzofertitta if fedor's management come to the ufc and ask for a contract no co promotion would you discuss it with them or no chamce Mar 25 Favorite Retweet Reply in reply to @CRISPY_PIG↑
